Backlit painting process on Clairefontaine Pastelgrain 

This is the third soft pastel piece in a series of five that I am painting for an upcoming exhibition. The series is called Magic in the Mundane and I will be focusing on everyday scenes that have a bit of magic sprinkled in and upon first glance may have been overlooked. The painting is called "Defrost II" and is on an 18x24 sheet of Clairefontaine Pastelgrain and soft pastel as the medium. In this piece, I predominantly use Unison pastels and Terry Ludwig soft pastels.
