@DumaM-ir7rk Having a conversation about theoretical physics with a pigeon would be far less frustrating. Perhaps this intellectual abyss is best left unexplored. Let’s agree to disagree?
Well said @Professor_Stark. Let's give skilled people a chance to make it happen and stop fighting for color. To all those that thrive on racism I am lead by a black man and I am white and I couldn't be more happy with my manager as I gain huge experience from him and could never do it better and I look up to him, and you know why because he is skilled and that is what we need. To the haters, think about change and stop thinking by emotions and you too will go far.
Government needs to fix standard of their department's cos they seem to not care or have a proper system on how to best use resources to deliver required service. I'm one of those ppl who are gatvol about the government workers or departments are handled.
@@samuelsithole2308 Samuel me too. You go into municipalities and you just can't understand the mess. People wait for hours and the system of work and organisation is upside down.
I hope Absolutely the new minister is fit to hold this home office. Very matured and capable of working with globalisation for the benefit of the country.. congratulated mr lion
Thank you so very, very much Dr Schreiber for 1. being willing to be interviewed 2. answering all questions straight forwardly 3. explaining clearly and succinctly what you will do to solve the problems. This is a dream come true after thirty years of BS from the ANC who have created 68 year backlogs etc.
REALLY, I MISSED THAT. MOST HOME OFFICE MINISTERS WILL TALK FIRST ABOUT TACKLING POROUS BORDERS, THIS ONE TALKS ABOUT LETTING MORE IN VIA ISSUING VISAS. WE KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN UNDER A DA, SO NO SURPRISES HERE.
what about the corrupt home affairs staff what about the incompetent home affairs staff, we want to see some heads rolling , what about fake ID and fake marriages
Since 5 years nothing happening in home affairs, people whose applies visa no body getting, only those got whose paid 50 to 10000 rands, please remove those corrupted officers in home affairs 🙏🏽
I hope he gets the house in order. Waiting over six years for Permanent Residency and nearly two years for my Temporary residence. Only been living in South Africa TWELVE YEARS !
Get rid of those who send u from left to right ...back n forth ...becos they don't have an idea wats going on.... congratulations 🎉to u Dr Shreider all the best on ur appointment... listening to someone who speaks without fluttering or spattering n having to think about wat he has to say .. nice n giving answers fluently n easy to understand....yesssssss sir
Remove immediately incompetent home affairs workers who spend time socializing on media while working. No home affairs officials should be allowed to chat and should be signe paper from if you are performing well you are fired.
Thank you, Trust me. I experienced incompetence as a black South African from that department the past years. I will judge the new minister on his work and delivery nothing else.
The criminals deliberately delay visas. They then call the applicant and offer to process for a bribe. There is no incentive to process if you can get a brine to do it.
Absolutely the new minister is fit to hold this home office !!! Very matured and capable of working with globalisation for the benefit of the country 👌
@@Tinker8531and you are consumed by your negative attitude. What a pity, otherwise you could've applied for a job at HA to deal with the backlogs, so the important issues you want to be enforced can be done.
@@Tinker8531yea and negative bots like you get paid for creating hate and division. Shame on you. Don't you want to experience positve growth and progress for South Africans?
I live in Pietermaritzburg - the main office has queues that are far too long, based in a dirty part of the city. Pride is lacking overall. Educate the home affairs employees to be polite & efficient, do their jobs properly especially in order to decrease queues. They are working for the public, they need to learn to be polite, courteous & respectful.
This is the first minister after the day of President Mbeki who understands that the department of home affairs and the tourism department goes hand in hand and that when not done diligently, will have an adverse effect on the economy.
@@redhowell7856 your opinion not OURS...as long as he's focus us on pleasing a particular segment and ignores what's irking the masses ..he hasn't spoken...talk is cheap anyway!
@@mazwideamahle4091 Indeed, talk is cheap, but apart from a spurt of action when one poor man tragically took his life because HA wouldn't give him an ID, all govt depts have been moribund for decades. I firmly believe that you'll end up eating your words. This is one competent man in the prime of life with something to prove. Watch this space.
Well...l will advise you should stop trading on your own if you keep losing and start trading with an expert because trading with an expert is the best strategy for newbie...😊❤
Interesting. I have a lump sum doing absolutely nothing at all in my bank account, I wanna get something started with it. You seem to be doing excellent for yourself, how do you achieve this?
Dear Minister , well done on understanding the core issues and communicating them clearly and having a vision and stratergy with the clear understanding of the economic importance of home affairs, along with the cascading consequences of not dealing with the backlog of visa applications and then communicating the future value of having highly skilled people to enter the country and creat economic activity. two thumbs up 👍👍
@frankvee2799 That is not true! There is deep inequality across the whole of SA, it is not specific to the Western Cape!! In fact, the Gini Coefficient ( which measures inequality) has DROPPED to 0,59 in the Western Cape, while the National Average is much higher at 0,68!! The Western Cape also has a significantly lower unemployment rate than the rest of the country!! ( at least 10 percentage points lower than the Nationsl Average) See - DA delivers for the poor and vulnerable, BusinessDay. See - Impressive new school in the Western Cape, RU-vid. This is a beautiful new Kasi school!!
Dear Minister, please look also into the PR status confirmation process. It takes average a year just to get a certificate of confirmation of your PR status 😢 before you can apply for naturalization. And there is no process to follow up and check status of your application.
@@jameskillu9171 just to be precise, 98% with respect to the votes (without counting those ones who are not registered), not the WHOLE south african population. If we follow your rationale, we can say that even 91% of the South African population reject the ideas proposed by Malema in this sense. Nonetheless, there could be many reasons for which a few people have chosen/have not chosen a party, not just related to a single issue.
Those kids come with high entry points, which enhances the research output of those universities. You do know that universities earn revenue from research right?
Thank you Dr Schreiber. I already have hope. I respect the previous minister but he felt overwhelmed and took offense from peoples queries and complaints aboit department incompetence
@@marimuller9530 DA IS GUARANTEED TO FAIL, THEY WANT TO OPEN THE FLOOD GATES FOR CHEAP LABOUR. ONCE THEY DOCUMENT THEM, EFF WILL BE OUR NEW GOVERNMENT. AFRICANS FROM NEIGBOURING COUNTRIES LOVE MALEMA. MAYBE NOT SUCH A BAD IDEA, BECAUSE THEN YOU WHITES ARE DEFINTELY GONNA LEAVE.
Companies should be taxed for every foreign national they employ. We have skilled workers in South Africa who are currently unemployed and struggling to find opportunities. South Africa is experiencing a brain drain, losing valuable talent to other countries. How can we expect a South African to compete with an American, European, or Chinese worker if they are not given a fair chance in their own country? Japan offers a valuable lesson for South Africa. The Japanese workforce policy prioritizes its local talent, ensuring that their citizens are the first to benefit from the country's economic opportunities. By adopting a similar approach, South Africa can empower its workforce, reduce unemployment, and foster economic growth. Let's prioritize our own skilled workers and create an environment where South Africans can thrive and contribute to the nation's prosperity.
@bevmwallo1712 I did apply last year in February.. but still is under the adjudication process Long way to go is really headache hope this minister will do his job
@@NaleBS1870 I hope so too cos we waited 5 years! Now yesterday they emailed (non reply) saying for my kids are ready but mine I’m still waiting. I really hope he sorts out this backlog asap!
Instead of focusing on fixing borders he wants us to uave more foreigners.. guys Zimbabweans have really messed up for foreigners in south africa, we must start discussing deportation
I left South Africa for Canada in February 2022. I had been waiting for my PR since 2016, but due to too much corruption at the DHA in South Africa, it only took a year to get a PR here in Canada.
I did apply last year, February. I am still waiting when I called them .. they are saying it is under the adjudication process . A long way to go is really a headache, bro
Been waiting three years for an unabridged marriage certificate to claim SASSA. They made an error and nothing gets done. Now I can no longer work and it's complicated! Perhaps have a means to report bribery such as a Whatsapp number.
I don't think south africans have a problem with ligal people coming to our country however what we are not going to agree with is illegal immigrants who are far more than ligal once. I think the frustration can be seen in the faces of South africans.
@@PauloMujuru it seems as though you can't read. That's not my problem if you can't read. The process of deportation has began. Get ready. That's what I mean.
Now we're talking. This sounds more forward looking and visionary than what we had in the past. This makes a lot of sense why white people are rich in this country.
There is a huge problem that we foreigners are facing, which is RSDO officers removing the necessary information for the renewal of Asylum Mr Mahlangu office number 39 does it a lot and will ask you for 800 to 1000 rand to have it put back please help us.
It's okay to have these promises from him and being applauded by specifically by foreign nationals in a majority here, it's not going to keep illegal criminals in South Africa as we know them under the pretext of tourism and economic growth. I don't know how true and honest is he to address crime than economy for South Africa
You are the illegal, your mind is illegal, your thinking is illegal, your life purpose is illegal, yout attitude is illegal, your manners are iillegal,
that happens when people do their job they are supose to do , why dont the press ask every politician about their responsibilities or jobs ? he is not even in office jet ?
Yet in Europe we wait up to a year for residency permits. Visas take as long as they take, you wait and if denied, you're not entitled to question why. You can complain until youre blue in tge face or go back home. What are these amazing skills they have when our educated / skilled citizens are leaving the country by their numbers snd many are working online for companies abroad
I wish you could tell that to your stupid government where you from. The disrespect you people have and fail to take your government out. Your last name says it all
