"Don't cross your feet," along with a handful of other tips, all started with correcting beginners, but morphed into "rules" to never be broken. They absolutely can be bent or broken when you understand the dangers and the options. So, the new rule is don't break the rule until you know when to break the rule. Nice options.
Hey dude i love your content been watching your vids for a little over a year now. an extra option that, this might sound like bs but i've been having success with this option from the rear triangle where the opponent has your foot still trapped in their half guard or whatever. assuming you can attack the leg towards the neck you can seal the triangle using your own arm if the leg is unavailable by hooking the crook of your elbow against your foot and squeezing tight.
Noooo you really called it the "Kimura" :'( i get that Kimura popularised the move, but that's just not it's name. I would say that it's even worse that calling the Ippon Seoi Nage "Jigoro" because Kano atleast created a martial art style. I'm shaking and crying rn, the Reverse Ude Garami (Double Wrist Lock) deserves better smh my head
