Just came across your video. I have explored some areas of Savage Gulf but not the Hobbs Cabin/Sawmill/ Northern part. Looks beautiful. It's on my bucket list to do this hike sometime soon! Thank you for sharing your hiking experience!!

The hike to Hobbs Cabin is one of my favorites in the park. During the early spring there are numerous water crossings that are really nice, and it has some really nice view points from along the canyon rim. The hike to Sawmill is an adventure and a pretty tough hike. The trail is steep in some places and rocky in others. It a couple of places it is rocky and steep. It goes down then back up , then all the way down crossing a stream, then back up and finally back down to the campground. It too is a great hike , but it is a moderate hike.

@@boomersoutdoors8898 Thank you for the detailed description! We started the Stone Door, done Greeter Falls and then down to Ranger Falls and back up to Stone Door loop and I have hiked on the Collins Gulf side, hiking down to Horsepound falls and back. I want to try out a loop, doing the stagecoach trail up on top and then descending into Collins Gulf and coming back up to the Collins Gulf Trail head.. Have you guys done that loop before?

I have not done that loop, but it would be an awesome route. If you can do the Collins Gulf trail then you will be good on any of the trails. The Collins Gulf down to Horsepound is about as difficult as they get in the Savage Gulf Park.

WOW! This place is incredible. Only hiked the Fiery Gizzard Trail and have not had a chance to check this place out yet. Is there a required reservation or camp fee in this area? Now following number 141!

Thank you so much!!!!! Yes savage gulf is amazing!!! There is a fee and must have reservation. I’ll ask Dustin what the fee is and get back to you!!!

The total fee per night in 15.63, unless you stay at Hobbs Cabin which is $25.00 plus tax. The cabin has six bunks , a fireplace and a place to eat inside and a picnic table outside. You can see and reserve your campsite online.
