Foresty, I hope I speak for everyone when I say you are one awesome dude. Your videos are comforting. Your voice, your mannerisms, the lessons you impart (purposely or not, it happens) are much appreciated. You're my favorite part of youtube.
I'm watching and thinking, "Ok, Forest is climbing this cliff to the summit AND he also has the amazing skills to film it so beautifully simultaneously!" I've said it before, every video he releases is just such a gift.
Yo Foresty!! I just wanted to sincerely apologize for some really shit comments I made on some of your past videos:( You really do all of us a huge service welcoming us into your adventures and we are all really thankful for it. Sending you positive vibes, dont let idiots like me ever bring you down with lame comments.
A lot of us are capable of getting grumpy and socializing some shittiness. I know I am. I didn't see your posts but the fact you're willing to reach out with sincerity and try to make things right, indicates that you're not a pos, nor an idiot. You're one of the good ones. Cheers to you.
@@Keukeu45If you are passionate about the outdoors and enjoy hiking you will be like him ..because you will realize @ 71 its not as old as it sounds to you now. .Assuming you keep yourself in shape till then which you will if you keep hiking a lot.
Wow! Those waterfalls were gorgeous. Lovely scenery, although watching you climb up that last section to the top was scary. The shots of the bears were epic. Hopefully you’ve replenished your supply of bear spray. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us. Stay safe, and give Rocko a belly rub for me!
Incredible. Simply incredible! I am sat here recovering from surgery and Foresty has taken me on a journey through the wilderness and, for a brief moment, I’ve been distracted from the pain of recovery. What an absolute treat, Thanks Foresty!
Those outrageous camera shots on your ascent . . . jaw dropping! You are a magician, sir, a very smart, strong, and artistic magician. Thank you, as always, for sharing the magic.
Findley, flowers, fraggle and a text to your mom - I feel like I got a peak into your soul on this particular adventure - thank you for sharing you to us! We are truly lucky to have Foresty Forest and Rocko in our lives! ❤
Foresty has a wonderful record for finding things he dropped or lost. It must have something to do with paying attention, and the keen eyesight you get from being in the forest a lot.
Nice that you called your Mom. My son and grandsons are scout camping this week. Nice to have gotten a pick last night from them. I am sure your Mom is thrilled with every summit that you accomplish. I love the views. Be safe.
This video hit me in the feels at the end Simon. The piano. When you said you were just taking your time... enjoying it. The scenery. The hot sauce comment lol 😆 😂.... Oooff. ❤ I can't believe the content on this channel. Your humor. The editing. The views. The hikes. The music choices. The famous intro ❤. Rocko. The meals. Drone shots. You're different Simon. You're Special. I hope you realize that buddy ❤..... Tell Mama Forest we said thanks....❤
Hey Foresty forest what an incredible climb the scenery was amazing. You and Rocco are so much fun. You guys are amazing you guys always make my day. I love it when you take us to the top of the mountain and I love it just as much when I see you and Rocko are back safe in your tiny home I look forward to your next video. You guys be safe out there. 🇺🇸♥️🙂👍🙏🐾🏔️🚐🇨🇦
Rocko IS THE mastermind of this channel!! Her dedication & hard work are definitely paying off 👍 Glad Rocko let’s you tag along!! Sending Aloha from Kauai, Hawaii 🏝️
With the music playing on the summit, talking about texting your mom - it was beautiful. There is beauty in everything, you don't always need perfect drone sequences!
I call it a remote camping trip if there is more than two miles to the nearest bar! That's the small UK for you! Always amazing, Foresty. I hope you always love what you do. I certainly do.
Thanks for stopping to photograph the flowers. Glad you took the time to enjoy the journey. Question: have you said about how much your backpack weighs for a 5 day trip by you and Rocko?
Just amazed how you can cross a fast moving stream with a dog in one arm and a gopro stick in another. You make it look effortless. And how you can climb the tops of those mountains with a dog strapped on your front. Just amazes me.
Dear S: - I hope you read this post - give me a nod if you do - my husband Bob and I are in Europe (yay) and right now in Innsbruck Austria surrounded by the Alps. We thought of you today when we took a cable car up to the top of the local peak - beautiful, but we thought of you climbing it when we saw other brave souls doing it. Also: in Innsbruck this week is an international mountain bike race of some sort - saw many "fat tire bikes" like yours all around where we are staying -- and also saw several adorable Jack Russell Terriers so you were on our mind today. :) Take more bear spray next time. I like "backups." Be well, Diana
I've watched so many of the wannabe van lifers over the last 6 years who quit the experience shortly after starting. I'm so happy that among the van life genre, Foresty is true to the van life experience. I was lucky enough to discover him in the minivan.
“It was just spicy enough to be fun” he says!! WHOA bro, that was AMAZING. Congrats on the summit and first doggo summit. Rocko be like, “Yo Pops, this is my world…you’re just living in it.” PLEASE reload on bear spray!! Cheers!! 🐾 🖤
I'm so glad you keep in touch with your Mom. Mom's stress when their babies go out into dangerous territory. I always say to myself that you made it back okay because you put the video together for us to view. I worry about you, as well. Love your videos dear young man. I'm old, so I am seeing the world through your adventures. Thank you so very much. You are amazing filming all this!
@@emilyi.9385 I'm very honored to meet you. Simon showed me all these years of watching him that he must have had an exceptionally wonderful Mom who taught him so very much. He's watched all over the world with his skills and most importantly his honesty. It all leads back to YOU! Thank you! Much love and many blessings to you and your family.
@@lorettaenz4828 Thank you for your kind words. I enjoy reading the comments. There are so many thoughtful appreciative followers with such wonderful responses to Simon's and Rocko's adventures. Blessings to you as well.
Congratulations FF! This is an amazing and beautiful video. Can feel the huge effort required to make this. Stay safe and always look forward to your new videos!
What a beautiful video, Simon! Rocko is definitely the. perfect companion for you! And it's obvious she enjoys hiking and she adores you! She's learned your routine well and the way she settles in with you in the tent at the end of the day is precious! Nice that she's a good alarm system, too! Sorry about the mishap with your bear spray. You are definitely NOT stupid; accidents happen, that's all. I was worried about Rocko on that ridge line...and so relieved when you carried her! lol Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Blessings to both of you, always!
Once again Foresty shows us his physical prowess/capability/courage/bravery/nerve and not to mention how much he enjoys his life to the fullest. Nicely done.... You are truly inspirational Absolutely loved the video.
Good morning Simon. Thanks as always for your clip and I must say you're looking much healthier now... and next time, please film Rocko doing all the planning and then driving you to the trail-head - that would have to be as least as thrilling as the climbs you two are ticking off your list.
I've been a subscriber for a few years now and this is one of your best vids. The piano music really added to it. The best compliment I can give is that it makes me want to go out and camp and hike with my dog! Thanks Foresty.
Awesome hike... great video and story. Imagine that Rocko has been to more summits than any dog at this point. Rocko should be in a 'Hall of Fame' for Dog Mountaineers.
Hey Forresty! Been a couple videos since I commented, but I've watched em all with great appreciation for what you do. Hope your keeping away from the smoke, but that seems to be getting harder for everybody here in Canada. We're getting it in Kingston! Anyways, great job capturing your travels for us all. A couple of highlights for me....the trekking pole bit was good, immediately made up a little story in my mind about a line trekking pole moving from person to person helping them when they need it...kinda like "the littlest hobo" lol, you might be a bit young for that reference. Also, bout the bear spray, I'm right there with ya when it comes to things like that. My own worst enemy. Glad you shared it though, now we all know,we aren't the only ones have stupid stuff happen to us . Take Care out there Forresty Forrest!
Rocko is so lucky to have been given the chance to live a life like this; a lot of the people watching these videos live vicariously through your adventures. She gets to join right in!
A reasonable Grade 4. And I'm still holding my breath! That waterfall, Oh! When you rested and watched the passing cloud, arrh, that was nice. You and Rocko, journaled for posterity. Simon, I pray continued safety and successful climbs and ventures. As soon as your posts arrive, I watch. Love that you texted your mum. Thank you Simon. God bless you. T. 🐞🇦🇺
