Here's Part 1 about the flight to Morocco: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8rojc0k5jjI.html And thanks a lot to 500,000 subscribers! Pretty crazy. The cool thing is that I passed 50,000 subscribers when I was in Morocco the last time in 2016. So it's five years later and the same number, just an extra zero. Sometimes zeros are worth more than nothin'.
Gabriel, I've been watching the numbers. Congratulations!!! And yes what a maze to walk through. In Islam, the outside of a person's home is unpretentious so as to not show decadence but once inside - as you said "gorgeous!".
NYC-born US Ex-pat here living in Germany. Saw all of your 2016 Morocco trip. I did Marakesch Tanger and Rabat earlier in October every city blew my mind for different reasons. Amazing amazing country. You are so lucky to be back to Morocco!!! I fell deeply in love with Morocco. Wish I could teleport myself back there..haha.
Morocco's excellent train network is one of Africa's best, linking most of the main centres. Trains are comfortable, fast and generally run to their timetables.
Congrats on 500k. Well deserved. Your videos are so cool, no pretencious editing, no "oh look how fabulous life I have" attitude, just real and down to earth, cultured guy.
Thanks Alina. I seriously recommend northern Morocco. I think it's more interesting than the south. I've filmed crazy amounts in the week that I've been here, but videos are delayed due to super slow internet. It's taking three days for my next video to upload. Point being, tons more coming and I think people are going to really enjoy seeing more of this country.
Congratulations for 500K subscribers. It was long due. Waiting now for 1M . Keep making great and interesting videos. The video content and quality have definitely improved since you began on this journey.
I took a train from Tangiers, through Fes, Meknes, Rabat and Casablanca to Marrakesh in 1979. It was an adventure then and it looks like it's an adventure now. Thanks for the video.
At the riad, the woman words in french and her tone are very kind. It seems a peaceful place to rest. I can’t wait to see what food will be to eat in Marocco. Have a nice stay there Gabriel.
Dude literally so happy for you I’ve been watching you for years you’re the first travel blogger I’ve seen! I’m happy you made it to morocco what an awesome experience. I’m commenting before I’m even watching the video because I’m so excited lol.congrats on half a mill.
Woo hoo Gabriel 😀😎👍 500k subscribers!! Happy for you! Keep it going 👏 one of my favorite vloggers! Thank you for the beautiful sights of Morocco 😊🙏❤ stay safe! See you in the next one! 😊
Hey! I'm glad to see that you liked your trip to Meknes, being a Moroccan myself, I've never been to Meknes and you made me want to jump on the train! The woman was saying : Welcome here 😊
Well, you took a long distance train, so they have compartments instead of seats, you could have taken a train to Rabat, you'd get then either the duplex regional trains or you could go through high speed rail (for full disclosure, it's the same speed as regular between Casablanca or Rabat) Also, you should revisit Rabat if you haven't done yet or did 5 years ago, as it is a city that changes so much, also go to the modern city instead of the Medina.
Can feel your excitement Gabriel, looks like a great place to explore, and the people appear friendly to tourists/backpackers and such. Awesome, jet lag can kick your ass but the adrenaline from new places and exploring was keeping you going. Living through your travels until my heaven opens up, albeit for only a few weeks, I can't wait for my future long haul flight! lol
Excited to see where this adventure will take you Gabriel! Congratulations on reaching 500,000 followers as well. I have been watching your channel a couple of years now, nice to see your online presence grow.
I thought Mr. Morris needs a BREAK....but no Chance....he is always on the Way and find more Journeys for us who sit at Home. Thanks Gabe for your TRAVELS!!!!
My Congratulations Gabriel for your 500K subscribers , I've been watching your RU-vid channel for 4 years , i learned a lot through your superb videos , as they say in France , life is made of travel and discovery it's a beautiful school of life , good day to you , a hello from Monaco Patrick
I dis train from Tangier to marrakech with a friend after visiting chefchoune...it ws so comfortable as 2other friends were supposed to join us so we had whole sleeping car to ourselves. Train leaving Tangier in the evening around 9pm and you wake up on marrakech perfect trip!! Beautiful scenery in the morning 💙
Whatta crazy walk to find your hotel. I was wondering if he was taking you by a few places of interest and then wanted to charge you for it. Glad you got there and could rest up for the afternoon.
What a great video. What backpack are you using? It looks so comfy. I laughed hard several times at you getting lost in the maze of lanes. I would never find my way back there either.
Hey Gabriel, we have met on the flight back to DC from Morocco it was nice seeing you in person and I’m looking up all your new videos and they are amazing keep the great job and I’m glad that you visited Morocco for the second time good luck on your work and happy thanksgiving.
I visited Morocco in 2012. It’s such a beautiful and interesting Country. I don’t care for that type of train either with only compartment’s with that type of seating. Ur an awesome vlogger Gabriel. I like Ur style. Safe travels Brother…
About first and second class, the difference is that in first class you have six people to a compartment and in second it's eight. Mostly in first class the seats also recline a bit. Getting a local SIM card, usually at the airport even, is much cheaper than any international plan and no mobile data problems. Just in case, don't forget to download offline Google maps at home or using Wi-Fi. Than again getting lost is part of the joy of travel. Great videos.
Thanks, I guess we'll see. Right now I'm adding about 4k new subs per month which means I'll get to 1 million in ten years, just as long as it took to get to 500k. Either way pretty stoked with half a mil.
Congratulations on half a million subscribers, I've been a long time viewer but was not a subscriber until now. Maybe next time I'm in Spain, I might take the ferry to Tangiers.
Hey Gabriel, I started watching this and realized I hadn't seen the first one so I found it right under this one. I would have thought you could get some sleep with all the empty seats. Just lay down and go to sleep. Lol I enjoyed the train ride. I like to look at the scenery and get a feeling for an area. Man you are in for some real history. The buildings are wonderful. The only thing I would worry about is going out for the day and trying to figure out how to get back to your room. Just curious, how much did you pay the guy that took you to your hotel?
Gabriel, I've been watching the numbers. Congratulations!!! And yes what a maze to walk through. In Islam, the outside of a person's home is unpretentious so as to not show decadence but once inside - as you said "gorgeous!".
@@tariktachefin1888 You’re avoiding the answer. I didn’t ask about all Muslims. I asked what is the major religion in Arabia? Decadence is everywhere in Gulf countries - this was the point.
Wow what a great place to stay. Such a lovely old house in the middle of the town. I've never realised the people in Morocco spoke french as well as arabic.
Great video!! And a great reason why you should always make sure to watch the news before visiting, there are massive protests and clashes across Morocco rn.
Why you lying did you see any massive protests or claches across in this videos?! There are know any think about Morocco, They love to visit it and also know that it is the safest country in the region Your comments change nothing but your mind can blow up to see how the moroccan people live peaceful and how tourists love this country
A beach town in Morocco I always wanted to visit is Essaouira. Jimi Hendrix and Brian Jones liked it. Back in 1975 I went on the Magic Bus from Amsterdam to Kathmandu. That was some hard traveling.
Great video! My brother and I are heading to Morocco next July for 2 weeks and your Moroccan videos have been a huge help in planning and only makes me excited to go.
I'll be taking that same flight next month but I'll be sleeping overnight in Casablanca and hearing to Tangier the next day. thanks for showing a bit on the train etc. Cant wait
@@deanwinchester6654 Thankyou. We're lucky enough to not really have had Covid hit our shores, so we're very thankful for that. We've had a few cases but nothing like other places. I don't think most people even realise how awful it's been for others - even those in our Eastern states where the number of deaths and cases has been much more worrying. Our politicians on the other hand... 🙄
I apologize for any inconvenience met in our country, Gabriel. Like Japan, we the Moors are an open people to the world, yet closed in tradition. Greetings from Belgium ! 🇲🇦
It is very common for Morrocans to guide visitors through the mazed alleyways. Riads are generally tucked away and they anticipate being tipped, so it is not a fluke occurence there.
@@rebeccar4312 Thank you for sharing that. 😊 I never knew but it makes perfect sense. How much is good to tip/ or do they expect as a tip? I think i'd want to hire a local as a guide for my whole stay if traveling a lot on foot
I'll never forget the first time that I sent you a message. I said something about hiking, but instead I spelled "hijacking"🤭 and you corrected me and I thought it was so hilarious. And that was the beginning of my amazing journey with your blog. I am happy to be part of the adventure. Congrats on 500k and much more to come!!!!🥂🍾👍
