Reporter Jim Ryan went on a backpacking trip on the Salmon River Trail in July 2020 for the latest episode of the Peak Northwest video series. He and videographer Brooke Herbert camped alongside the Salmon River, which flows about 33.5 miles from Mount Hood to the Sandy River.
