❤😊, Thank you for another informative video. Bummer about coffee. I have a gluten intolerance and have to limit the amount of sugar in my food. It is really hard to get enough calories in foods that you can eat day in and day out. Fortunately beans and rice make a full protein and can be flavored 100s of different ways. Parboiled rice and dried beans are inexpensive and easy to come by. I have owned a food dehydrator since 1974 and am still using the same one to dehydrate vegies, jerky, both meats and tofu. You can also purchase dehydrated and freeze dried ingredients from online to mix up your own meals cheaper than purchasing meals. I like Harmony House, but you can get dehydrated pinto beans from Walmart in 5 gallon buckets, or bean flakes from most whole foods stores, or any Hispanic grocery store. Fortunately for me I can eat rolled oats, chai seeds, flaxseed, with nuts and dry fruit and cinnamon cold soaked overnight or hot soaked while I pack up in the morning everyday of the year. Finally, public transportation can be used to get from trail to town and back in a few place's along the PCT, and some other backpacking trails.
