Dear Lord thank you for forgiving my backslidings and saying so in the bible, bc I know you can't lie. I'm working very hard on becoming spiritually mature in Christ and becoming like him. I have to keep my environment clean and safe from others who could help cause me to backslide. So I call myself a REPENTER!! I know when I've sinned and do a run down of my day and see how I did every single day. It's a real job to keep myself purified and clean before God and I am in his presence for days at a time. I'd almost rather be alone with God actually. He's fun and interesting and keeps me safe. But I have to watch it when I'm in Babylon... keep my eyes straight ahead and my face set like flint. I program up in the morning and say I will not do these certain bad habits... don't feed the snake. But following Christ will cost you your life. And that's the bottom line. It's all about your life and how well you did or didn't do. I love you Lord and just pray like everything for progression with you this year. there's things that have to go and I know we (together) are going to overcome. I don't hold onto things anymore and that is super progress when I look back and see how I've done. Thank you so much Lord for caring about the backslider who comes back to you. You know we are weak and need a lot back bone now that you're about to return. Gotta keep my oil lamp full and then some. Confess it right away and accept the punishment (you reap what you sew)!! I double down when I that old serpent is circling me... I try and discern his tricks ahead of time. It takes discipline and I suppose it's why he calls us disciples. This was and is a wonderful message. Hey Mr. Rich!! Nice to keep seeing the posts coming and coming. These are always the better sermons for the times we're in right now!! And you KNOW it!! much love!

I backslid for 8 years

Thank you for you lessons, I actually have a question. If you plateau or stay in the same spot. Which is laziness. Isn't that a sin? Not backsliding, but commiting a sin? I feel that applys to me & just asking God for strength to keep fighting the good fight

Is there anybody who answers back to backsliders on here? I am a backslider, for me it was a fast fall not gradually, through that process I stopped being able to feel the holy spirit with me like the man explained in this video in the 10 sighns that we're backsliden. For me, it was intentional, not accidental, like he explains, which happens to some when they drift. I was divided with things in the world that I pursued that first led to quenching the spirit. Then that led to more grievous sin which was very strongly grieving the holy spirit, and after about the 4th or 5th time indulging in that grevious sin he was warning me not to do it I did it anyway assuming on his grace that he would forgive me afterword but he did not. After that, I could no longer feel his loving presence with me, I felt as though I had completely lost salvation and knew it and that it's impossible for me to come back. That was 8 years ago, and since I have been living in my flesh, changing my thinking that became unbiblical. I had been trying to convince myself that god was with me still, but he wasn't, of course, and I knew it because deep down there was something huge missing, the Holy Spirit. Anyway, I have come to the end of my self in utter despair and hopelessness, knowing full well my condition but unable to feel the love of God to be restored. The man said that gods erisistable grace comes to turn us back, i remember that's how i originally came to jesus, but im not feeling that now. Everybody I talk to mostly doesn't even believe me that I am backslidden. They try to tell me i just need to believe in gods grace that its sufficient for me, but they just dont understand. I feel like god has cursed me in my body and everything i do. I feel like he is even keeping the right people from me to help me with godly counsel because i feel as though im under his wrath now, and he wants me dead. My question is, will he restore me back? I'm sitting here waiting. I have no were eltce to go. Can he receive a backslider who sinned like I did against the revealed knowledge of Jesus?

Can we lose out salvation?
