Please pray for me, I’ve lost nearly all my friends since I’ve found the Lord. Life has been lonely, pray that I find some godly friends who I can be myself around. Thank you, praise God.
set aside time to get to know Jesus through His Holy Spirit. When you grow in the knowledge an fellowship (intimacy) with Him, He will bring beneficial and uplifting friends into your path. But He wants to get to know you first. So that your testimony and relationship with HIm will be strong. Sometimes the wrong friends can draw you back. Trust Him, get to know Him first by talking to Him each and every day...get into that quiet time alone with Him and learn to hear Him speak to you... the righteous friends will be sent into your path and they will be good for you chosen by Him. Let His peace be with you always. "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." -John 14:26-27
Maddi I feel exactly the same. Its like I'm a stranger in my own home. I'm beginning to feel that God wants me to be alone so I can draw closer to him. The loneliness is hard. I pray for you, that Christian friends draw near to you soon.
There are so many... Jesus knows and bottles every tear you shed. You are blessed, Jesus had so much to say about people turning their backs on us. And He is well acquainted with every aspect of our sorrows. Take this time to read the Word... Believe me, this time is for you to devour the Word of God... Read Psalms, John, Romans... My husband and I had the same experience! Went to a festival a few weeks after we were saved since we already had tickets. It was shocking.. we ending just staying in our van reading the bible the most of time. Praying the whole time for everyone there.
So glad to hear others that have been in that scene & then found the Lord & walked away....it's tough because it's 1 of the best churches I've been apart of. But there was no truth in it...& def. no love of Christ. So proud of how yall handled that situation though!!
The enemy always lies. Always lies. I used to torture myself for months after failing to pray when God would tap me on the shoulder. I am older now and I have learned to acknowledge the sin, ask for forgiveness and then keep shoving forward. God finally showed me all the time I was wasting beating myself up after tripping or falling. I do believe we should feel true sorrow and repentance but, you are so right. Be truly sorry, repent, and immediately fix your eyes upon Jesus once again. Kind of like steering a car...readjusting the wheel every time the car begins to stray off the road.

I would not say you backslided, you yielded to temptation, yes, but backsliding is more of a general going away from Him which you did not do. You are able to get advice from others about decisions, yes, and sometimes that is helpful, but you will learn to make decisions with the Lord yourself, becoming your own convictions and growing up into Him. Sometimes God let’s us have what our flesh wants like a child wanting what it wants and the parent wanting the child to learn. God wants you to realize that you really never want to do it again, it’s not worth it. The world will always pull you away from Him. The devil will always say, “it’s alright, what’s the big deal, go ahead”. But as you know, Jesus is so much better than the darkness, even the supposedly fun darkness. Love you so much, thanks for sharing. It is all the pieces that help us get closer to Him. ❤️
I agree back sliding is much more severe and lengthy in the time you stay in that state,. Tripping and falling or backsliding shouldn't be a concern we are born in sin we are bound to do it, that does not by any means give us license to do so it should always be a priority in our harts and mind to avoid it. The one thing that should terrify any true convert is the lack of chastening by the holy spirit. If you sin and in no way does it make you feel sick to the pit of your stomach or guilty in any way, your in serious trouble. Pray constantly and ask for forgiveness He always forgives his children. May Jesus Christ richly bless you in your walk with him.
Whenever Im in any worldy event or going to dinner parties. I feel the battles too and I ask God to help me. We have spiritual eyes to see the occult and its hard to love the old ways because Jesus has given us new lives. Keep fight my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. God bless!
Your doing Gods work by sharing your stories. It helps me keep Jesus in my heart. When I feel weak, someone like you is there to help keep me strong. Your shame spreads the love of Christ. We can see the love and joy in your eyes. We see the passion in your smile when you say the name of Jesus. He is alive in you and it helps us here to see that and want to fight to have that for ourselves.
I would say you are more beautiful every video!! it's the Jesus in you shining progressively brighter!! Your eyes are so different and the joy of the Lord is so visible. I don't call it back sliding but learning who you are. We need to learn that we are not of this world. The things we loved, now we hate. We go from pigs to sheep. Nothing shows it like a sheep getting covered in mud. The enemy will always mess with us in those moments but it's learning who we are in Christ.
I can also relate as an ex raver for almost 3 years. I to loved trance music. And being there all i wanted to do was dance mostly not drugs. But they would project this luciferianism at EDC with the owl and symbolism everywhere Tommorwland with the all seeing eye. And it wasn't until Christ opened my eyes to the false Peace love unity respect moment. Only Jesus Christ can bring true peace and love. I know from experience a lot of people that go to these festivals are broken they take drugs and become this different person. They just don't know satan behind masquerading.
If anything your back sliding seem to make your walk with Jesus stronger & it also showed you how deceived you were in that darkness. I love the scripture that tells us that "His mercies are new every morning!" What a wonderful God we serve!!! When fellow believers make videos about confessing sin and weakness I feel so empowered by it because I go through the same struggles. It's so good to know God is continually sanctfying us and moulding us into the image of Jesus. When we know and acknowledge our weakness that is exactly when God's strengths is perfected in us. I'm currently fighting my own battles especially with lust but God is teaching me to abide in Him and He will abide in me. Keep your head up sister. Bet you felt a small burden lifted off your shoulders after confessing your weakness because I do. Anyways God bless you sister!

You said "I felt this withdraw". In that moment you CHOSE temptation, and when we choose wrongly or for the flesh, it creates what the Bible calls a "Double Mind". The carnal mind is against God, so it cannot submit to God's law, but the Holy Spirit within you can KNOW God when you follow Him. That's why we are saved by Grace, God knew we would mess up but wants us to learn and choose Him because we really want Love. I have dealt with the same thing many times, feeling the temptation to go back to fleshly lust's, and even when I messed up, God still gave me peace again. I learned God was giving me the ability to choose by His grace what I really wanted. Once we abide with God, there is definitely know question to what we really want but we still must endure in those strong temptations. Great testimony, good to hear you learned your lesson. God is going to do great things in you life.
I backslid for 10 years & always knew, I could feel Him tugging at me, that Jesus was waiting for my return. And He took me back, like His only lost child.
Woaw Chelsea, timely sharing! I've just gone through something so eerily similar, it was absolutely horrible. My backsliding snowballed and I couldn't stop. A part of me was very conscious of what I was doing in real-time but I persisted. God snapped me me out of it but the next few days were scary. I immediately went on a 3 day fast, just praying, reading, crying and kneeling. I was in serious doubt if God would forgive me, because I thought that I went too far since I did the same thing I did in the past (and said I wouldn't). But I didn't know what else to do other than to ask for forgiveness, my only hope was that he'd hear and forgive. After the 3 days, yesterday, it was conveniently Sunday and I went to a church and broke down. Something came over me and I couldn't stop crying. It wasn't like the crying from before, this one was intense. I was already familiar with this, I knew it was the Holy Spirit and I felt forgiven which intensified the crying even more. I learned something very pure though. God's glory shines in his ability to forgive. The guilt that comes with sin is crushing, it literally destroys your soul because you realise the magnitude of your offense against the most beautiful and caring being. Forgiveness is quite literally freeing. I learned something so precious that I don't ever want to forget it. God's forgiveness IS the MOST valuable thing you can ever attain.
I can't believe how much this story reminds me of myself, I'm sitting at my house so isolated in the middle of nowhere and I've recently have had demonic attacks and the one that I had last time I was asleep I think but I thought I was awake and it took place right where I woke up and a feminine demon was on top of me and seemed to be taking advantage of me and I was paralyzed with fear and struggled to say "Jesus off" because of the amount of fear it's all I could utter out and this evil thing fled from me immediately! Sister I don't know why I feel the need to ask for you or anyone reading this to please pray for me and I love you and everyone reading this!
The Devil always mixes his vinegar into honey to lead us away from the Lord. Praise God for his mercy and saving grace that is always open arms to return us to the fold. ❤
I back slided and feel horrible I found myself cussing and being mean and then I started to listen to all the music I used to before I was saved and I snapped out of it and recognize it and I try to repent. I'll make it into heaven at a half a mile a day stumbled and falling on the way! Praise God.
Thank you for sharing your story of backsliding. I hate that feeling on the other side of these times when you so much wish you hadn't gone there. This shows though that the Holy Spirit was talking to you even in the midst of this moment. I am so thankful for Him and the way He restores us as we confess.

I've only recently come back to the Lord and although I don't do everything right and more than often slip back into the old David, I know the Lord loves me and will not let me go! God loves you too! And He will never let you go!! Even when you slip and fall...even when you can't feel His presence and He seems far, you are His precious daughter and He will remain faithful! I had a period of time a good few years when I had backslidden from The Lord, I still prayed and read scriptures but not as feverently and often as I did before. I was hanging out with non-believers going to pubs , parties and drinking to excess etc. I had a major wake up call and then I returned wholeheartedly To The Lord in willing surrender of those thing that once held me. After praying and repenting I was given a vision of me riding on a horse on a Carousel merry go round (the type you find at a fairground) . Whilst I was on that merry go round I kept sliding back and off the saddle. We can be in the world but not a part of it, if we try to go back to our old ways of carousing , parties and having a merry old time we will surely back slide and Jesus will lose first place in our hearts. No more merry go rounds for me!

We all backslide sometimes (even me, and I was a pastor), but Jesus -unlike all the other pretender gods- is the only (true) God who identifies as The Shepherd who will pursue us down bluffs and brambles to retrieve the single lost lamb. It's why he and bishops have a long shepherds crook, to hook us out of brambles and save us with a long reach. Be encouraged C of JisT.

I LITERALLY have the exact same story. I was new in my walk with Christ and my friend had a free ticket for me. The holy spirit was saying I shouldn't go. But I was making every WORLDLY excuse I could make to go and do what I wanted to do there. (drugs/dance) While I was there I could see every reason I shouldn't have been there... and the fight inside me (demons) was more than I've ever felt. I also partook in substances as well.(I Rebeled) I was talking to God when I was there too, praying that all this was ok (so that I could keep doing what I wanted).It was very revealing when I got home from the fest and cried for days as well. Now I know that it was wrong and now I'm closer with God than I have ever been. GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL.

When Jesus sweat blood in the garden before His crucifixion, it wasn’t out of distress for the physical suffering He was about to face but for the guilt and sin that would touch Him. Never in all eternity had He been separated from the Father like He was about to be. In the end He cried “My God my God what have you forsaken me!” He suffered that rejection and separation from God so that we would never have to again! He will never leave us or forsake us, even when our own foolishness brings us to the den of the enemy 💚

Thank u for posting this, I just gave my life to Jesus this year in July. But too have backslided & have been having hardship since. Went to AA because my flesh is still strong compared to my spirit. It's hard I feel my whole body disregarding my spirit, & it is so heart breaking. Praise Jesus for the work he's done so far & about to do. I want to live for Jesus
That happened to me exactly the same thing in a different setting. I started drinking at my work and I got the pride of life in me and I forgot everything about Christ and fell into all old sins but by God's grace he called me back but it came with a lot of pain.
I’ve just discovered your channel so I’m looking through some of your older videos and you’re making a sister cry right now. I used to feel really close with Christ, but then I would have these long long periods of basically not feeling Him at all and I stopped praying and got sucked into social media and I’m in one of those periods now and I just feel like a lost cause so it’s really good to know that I can come out of it stronger than before.

I really appreciate your honesty about the difficult moments in your walk with the Lord. And it is very difficult to speak of those times when we fall, but a righteous man falls 7 times and stands up 7 times. The Lord opened your eyes to a greater love and desire for him and faithfulness even. To feel the holyspirit depart from grieving the holyspirit is very sad and its something that no child of God would ever want. I've heard a few of your videos and I'm so blessed by how you express your faith in Jesus. I'm 53, I have been a church leader, and I am taking a break in order to pursue a more local body of believers than we have been with in the last 11 years at more of a distance than we can now commit to. I have some disappointment and I just need rest for my spirit. Our children are older now and have had spiritual troubles but the Lord is faithful and they see him more clearly now. We have found the Lord to be sufficient and I'm so thankful that you have expressed your faith in the midst of very turbulent and chaotic circumstances. The joy you felt when you truly rested in Christ meant so much to me to hear and your story is like a breath of fresh air and an answer to prayer for my own spirit because I want to love the Lord and his word in a fresh way. Thank you for being a channel of Grace from the Lord!

The more videos I watch of yours the more I realise we are a lot allike! I was never into wichcraft but I was all up in the world drinking, smoking, drugs and sin. I also have dealt with sleep paralysis which I have already mentioned in other videos of yours. Every time I see a title to one of your videos I'm like that's me too. God is opening my eyes with the nightmares and night terrors and. I'm finally waking up. I'm changing for the better and I relate so much with your story!!! I so can relate to this. Had this experience recently and it is truly the worst. I thank God for His amazing love and patience with us. It truly breaks the heart especially knowing His love. Its empty this life without Him, once you know what it's like having Him. The good thing that comes out of it is that we learn and grow and it is a process as Paul wrote. We just have to keep our eyes and hearts on Jesus no matter what and rely solely as we started, innHis grace in hope of maturing in perfection til His coming as promised in the world. Yea substances will envelope entirely in the world and the flesh and therefore severely weaken the connection to the Holy Spirit and the lord. That’s why now that I am ALL IN for Jesus and have experienced his promises and and joy in full, I barely want to even have a sip of alcohol because I don’t want to tamper with my connection to Christ. I went from drinking the most every time to “I’m driving!” all the time 😂 Praise Jesus!!!! Keep building those foundation so you can immediately comeback from a fall. Much love God bless
Your spirit and heart are both so beautiful and so pure and genuine, He sees your heart. He knows that you are genuine ❤️ Your guilt and remorse are evidence you’re still walking with Him! A truly calloused backslidden person cannot feel or hear His voice at all, their conscience is seared. In my experience I’ve found that it is never Him Who walks away from us, but we walk away from Him. He never lets go or stops pursuing 💓 nothing can separate us from the love of God! Better than we deserve, but it’s because of what He did..we can never earn or try to work for His salvation or grace or anything like that..it’s already been done, we just have to rest in it! The more you mature in your walk with the Lord, the more you will recognize when the enemy tries to get in, but our nature is to be stubborn and in rebellion and even the most seasoned Christians will backslide at times. That was beautifully shared...thank you!
I'm going through something very similar, I've been struggling with the decision to go to this festival that I had been attending before I was saved, just as you, I feel peace when thinking I shouldn't go, because in this place all of the activities are wicked; and I have been just battling over the excuses, such as "this year's line up is the best of them all", "my friends are just going to bother me if I tell them I am not going to go", and so on. Brothers and Sisters, please pray for me, I know the Lord doesn't want me to go there, and the world is pulling me, may I stay strong in God. God bless all of you!
Hi sis..what a sweet heart you have. When I was in my mid 20s I travelled to the UK (travelling w non christians is a test of faith and I failed!). In Glastonbury I went into a new age store and my spirit just knew something was wrong and left it. And this was at a time when I didn't hear from FATHER much at all If ever. I know they have festivals there too. It must be a new age stronghold/territory? God bless..sis in Christ 🙋♀️💖☝️

Awe sweet sister!! I’ve been there! I backslid last October-January and I know that wretched feeling of trying to worship the Lord while still drinking and doing drugs and His presence is withdrawn. I so empathize with you. But He is SO faithful to draw us back in and He rejoices in us walking back in obedience despite our shame and consequences of sin. I would LOVE to share my testimony with you! It’s a pretty colorful one...LITERALLY. I live in NYC but most of my relatives are in Stroud/Nailsworth, and Bristol. 💗🙏🏻✝️
I had alot to let go of in the way of addiction when I turned my life over to the Lord. Through prayer an reading the word of God I have made it through since August of 2018. Never thought I would be free of those demons. Anyway the path to now was not without a stumble or 2 but I had this mantra that I would tell myself. " Progress not perfection " and I just try to be patient an let God guide me. We are all sinners but fortunately God loves us an forgives. I think the biggest challenge is forgiving ourselves. You have one of the most powerful and sincere testimonies I've ever heard. You are a child of the living God and He holds you safe and secure every minute of every day, whether awake or asleep. Absolutely no power other than God's alone can touch you as you serve Him-The One and only GOD of the universe.
