First off, i would like to say I really enjoy your channel. Your archery knowledge is great and very informative, and like a lot of other channels, I don't feel like you're trying to sell me a particular companies bows. Your entire set up looks very professional. As for lower priced bows, I'd love to see you review the Bowtech Amplify, it costs a little more then a budget bow, around $600 and $650. In my opinion it is by far the best bow I the budget/mid priced bows. Thank you for the great work.
First thank u for the feedback, the current bow buying process can be overwhelming we just want to make it a little simpler. Next Bowtech is the solution ss, I will look into the amplify we love suggestions.
Hey bubba, i just wanted to let you know that this video was very helpful in helping decide what bow I am considering purchasing. I recently moved to the Nebraska panhandle and haven't hunted with a bow since 2010. I have a Mathews z7 and loved it. I went to my local archery shop, shout out to Flyover Archery, and I told the gentleman there that i wanted to get back into hunting again. He recommended me this exact bow. I’m 58 and have been an archer since I was 12 or so. I live next to a huge pro shop and have shot many bows. I short one of these after the redesign in 2019. I’m pretty sure I understand what you’re referring to. There are a lot of nuances to draw cycle. I feel like you got a Monday bow😅. I’m pretty picky I agree with the snap, I didn’t feel that tight back wall .it would be nice if you could borrow one from someone and see if it’s the same. Thank you for your unbiased, honest videos!
I bought a Switch last June as my first ever bow. The only other bow I shot in the shop was the PSE Stinger Max. I wanted the Mission because of the company philosophy. I have a 26.5" DL and am shooting at about 52lbs. I've enjoyed the bow and feel like I can shoot it pretty well. I happen to like the draw cycle, but I am pulling a much lower weight. I agree the back wall is a bit "spongy". After about 6 months I decided I needed an upgrade so I bought a used Mathews VXR 28. I was very disappointed with the draw cycle of the VXR, feels to me like it builds to a hump before dropping into the valley. It does have a nice solid back wall though. My DL may not be correct on the VXR, it's ripped the release out of my hand twice. I put it in the case and have been shooting the Switch ever since. I may try it again, but right now it scares me. I may have just went too high performance too soon. Anyway, I like my Switch and feel like it's a great bow to start out with. Thanks for the review.
I really like to mess around with the bow before a review and that’s def something I noticed when dropping the draw weight down the cycle smoothed out a hair, any versatile bow at peek draw weight is the harshest, I like that you are sticking with most comfortable for you
I notice that you're struggling a little with that bow weight, I can hear it in your breathing. I'm an old guy with a few health issues and I picked up a Hammr a few days ago. I absolutely love the bow's physical weight and let off at 28". Mine is set at 40# and I'll probably 'crank it way up" to 45# before I hunt with it but I'm fine with those draw weights. I've been killing deer with 40-45# recurves and longbows for years and they don't shoot as nearly as hard or fast as even the Hammr. Great review BTW.

Bought a switch 3 weeks for a back up and for my daughter to start shooting, it's a great shooting bow. I do agree it's a handful at full draw but to me it has a nice smooth draw.
Nice review. This is my first bow, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I have wondered if it’s just me that has some slight difficulty maintaining stability on my aim on full draw. In all honesty it’s probably a combination of both but interesting to hear that was something you pointed out.
Could you do a video on bow form, Been hunting for 15 years but can’t shoot more than 3 dozen arrows without my shoulders killing me or struggling to get on target
Definitely in the works, couple things I would recommend first, one lower your draw weight if you can easily in the off season and shoot less during practice, can always bump back up when season comes around, another is follow an account archery strong gives great tips on how to strengthen muscles directly related to drawing a bow
Unfortunately we are not a shop just a review channel I would find your local bear dealer and the legit is set up ready to go it’s a package deal, only thing u will need are arrows and a release
