There’s a lot of options available you just have to look closely at the leafs to make sure it’s one that you like, the one I bought is a ficus leaf. Here’s another option that ‘looks’ like it would be a good one a little cheaper, but I didn’t buy this one. amzn.to/3RSBQY9
I’m thinking of doing this but I think my neighbor would freak out. I heard her say “ She’s blocking me” when I opened my patio umbrella. I put 3 along my fence where my patio is. I don’t know why some ppl have to watch others in their backyard, how creepy!!!
That’s a little weird she said that! I did let my neighbors know. I just said I wanted to do this, i like the way it looks. I hope it doesn’t bother them, but let me know if it looks bad. Lol. They said no it looks great.
Very true. I mean, I don’t mind my neighbors too much or else I would just move to the country 😆 but I definitely like a feel/sense of privacy when I’m outside and especially around the pool lol
Well we have cameras too, but that’s because we have a pool and tons of neighbor kids who come to swim. But it doesn’t look in our neighbors backyard lol

I know exactly what you’re talking about… I don’t feel like they have… but I kind of want to compare what they look like now versus when I first bought them. I’m going to go take some pictures today, I’ll let you know.
If you can’t screw into the fence somehow, try vinyl fence hooks. And hang it on that and then zip tie it to the hook. You may have to use some extra 🍃 leaves to hide the hooks or spraypaint them if they show too much.
I'm looking for an idea like this to extend the privacy to the top of my fence. I was wondering will it tilt over with the wind? How sturdy at the top is it so it doesn't flap around at the top? Does anyone else have any ideas on how to extend privacy up on an already exsisting wooden fence? Thanks.
I have a longform video w/ instructions.. but It does NOT move. And I will tell you our backyard is like a wind tunnel because we’re in the hill country. We have to remove our umbrellas several times a month from the pool because it’s so windy. Use screws and zip ties like I did, make sure the screws are halfway to 3/4 of the way into the wood and they will be fine. There’s a lot of holes in the lattice it goes right through. The other option we were going to do was put a fence topper, either at lattice, or the same type of wood and make it taller. Much more expensive.
For sure! Nothing will block that lol. I’m more worried about being eye to eye and seeing them vs. them seeing me so much. I just wanted to add a bit more privacy without raising the fence.. and I wanted the greenery back here. Win win for me!
That was actually one of my concerns, because we have a few small hills around us, so we have this horrible wind tunnel back here when it’s windy … I used screws and zip ties though and haven’t had a problem! It’s solid. I think because there’s a lot of holes the winds going through it. If it was like a panel of just wood, maybe it would have a harder time.
Yuk. They look like plastic. Grow some vines. It's not hard, it's way more beautiful, cleans the air, don't have to store it and so much better for the environment.
I still love them. I recycle & upcycle enough for the “better for the environment clause” 😆 Maybe one day when I have more time I’ll grow some that can withstand the crazy heat back here. I have about 50 plants inside so real 🪴lover here
