Daaamn. Not a bad way to spend about what $30K? With that you can buy a brand new Chevy Impala, or buy a classic like this and spend the rest of the money turning it into a one of a kind beast. LS2, Procharged, 6 speed, Alcohol Injected?? Holy shit. Are those Bonneville seats rewrapped? I'd like to see this fuckin thing at the track.
Damn! Very nice..I was looking for a stock one when I was car shopping. ..but none in my area so I got a 2002 crown victoria lx. ..but one day I will own one of these and a marauder! Lol
Perfect impala dude , still my dream car , had my chances and turned it down . Just didnt have a garage for it.. i love everything on this car except for those wheels . 20 inch for sure with a deep dish in the back with some fat tires . A staggered look for sure and your killing it.
Those bonne seats are so much better from a style and comfort level you don't slide around an there not hard like the stock seats. All around sweet ride
Awesome work man, that ride kills. I get so many complements driving mine, even with the rusting rear, I can imagine the swarms of people that surround you. For those that have never had the orgasmic experience of driving one, do it. '96 Impala SS, one of the best cars manufactured in the past 30 years, simple.
Absolutely gorgeous car and awesome job on all the swaps! Makes me very sad that I sold mine after 20 years - best car ever made. I see this was posted 9 years ago, do you still have it?
Would have been so cool if they offered black interior from the factory. It goes with every SS color great. Little known fact, for 1995 or 96, can’t remember, Chevy was soooo close to releasing a 4th color for the SS. It was Silver, imagine that factory with factory black interior. Thats what they should have done, had the classic black body with grey interior, and then have the option to get the reverse effect with silver and black interior, with DCM and DGGM still an option of course...
Yeah I know they added the other 2 colors in 1995...re-read my comment a little better, what I was saying was I couldn’t remember if they were thinking of adding the silver for 95 or a last year 96 color.
Very nice i did the custom fiber glass speakers on the doors and trunk as well as the two tone leather seats but this beats my 95 any day nice job and that asshole who said these are caprice seats just hating i get that too. I put american racing wheels on mine and i regret it but the only thing i need are those halo lights from street trends those comming next. Thanks for sharing man i gotta update my engine after seeing yours.
You can have Bonniville seats reshaped and re pattern. I like to get an extra seat mess with it re shape foam and Taylor fabric over it. On bottom you just cut the top piece out re design lines. I'm making Caprice seats into SS seats eazy way Roadmaster seats. Foam can get smooth with 60 grit sandpaper on Rolla lock drill or turkey knife. Nobody would know where they came out off. Driver and passenger are exact copy when I pattern I make 2 pieces. Backs I hate one piece looks better.
Harvey Rowder where did you find peddles and linkage for this type of conversion? I did the same thing with 1980 Monte Carlo ripped out the V-6 and automatic and dropped in a 4-Bolt main 400 and a manual tranny 4-Speed. back in the mid 90's.
How much does a project like that run you? That ride is incredible. I remember seeing one everyday parked in my neighbor's driveway and always wanting one.
Awesome Ride Bro! Where did you find those door panels? Love the two speaker set up. Would love to get some for my 94. Front and rear panels are nice. So was the LS2 Swap Hard? Did you do it yourself or have it done somewhere. I would like to do the same for mine. Great set up! Did you just paint the overflow tank as well? Great clean look. Thanks for sharing.
