BAD DESIGN?? Queen Anne full sunset top deck walk?? Stunning

Join us for a Stunning Sunset walk at sea on the upper decks of Cunard's brand new ship Queen Anne. Cunards Queen Anne has some fantastic outer decks on the upper parts of the ship and we discover them all on this walk with sun setting in the background. On deck 11 midship of Cunard's Queen Anne is the Queens Grill area, an area exclusively for Cunard's Princess and Queen grills guests only, other guests have to go down to deck 9 to get to the front of the aft, is this a design flaw of this ship?

Thanks for this guys. Lovely to see a real life walk around of the decks. Absolutely love the aft deck with the pool. Deck 9 I believe. Cannot wait for our turn (Dec 2025 😮) may have to do a cheeky summer one to benefit from that lovely pool 😅

That's interesting that it's in the middle. I felt that the Grills Terrace and deck area was SO wonderfully private on Queen Elizabeth, but it's a deck higher than the main deck. This is really interesting - I haven't seen this on other Pinnacle ships, but on HAL they did have (I think) this section roped off as crew only - you just had to walk down the ship on the other side though - no major issue. Was the other side of the ship not available to walk down?

Hey Fraser. Thanks as always for commenting and watching. Yes both sides is for Queens Guests only, now you can just open gate and walk through, probarly at pace but not supposed to to. Yes be interesting to see how this area compares on Hal, I think just walk way on one side would have solved this problem.

Grills terrace poor design. Key entry only like rooms that unlock automatically if an emergency is called.

Totally agree Kevin. To be fair I was amazed when I could walk straight in. One side should have been walkway, leaving the other side for views.

On QM2 it’s right at the aft of the ship so you feel you have already walked the full deck by the time you reach it I’d say.

Guess you will not be able normally to walk straight through that Queens / Princess Grill area. If they could incorporate a staircase from near the wellness studio down to the wellness café it would have at least given direct access into the pavilion. Presume usually you have to retrace your steps to forward stair tower to get down there. Q and P grill guests would not I think be happy only having access to one side of the ship if a permanent walkway was created.

Yes you can just walk through at any time, it is a bit of a faff trying to get from one end to the other. In time they make it a cut off area but for our whole cruise you could just walk straight through on both sides 🤷‍♀️ bit of a strange layout

Why the questions after bad design. It's a fact. Mo way Payne had anything to do with this rubbish? QM2 forever!

Well that’s the point people watch and make up their own mind as to whether or not it’s a bad design, everyone will have a very differing opinion. But yes Mr Payne was not involved in this build and it is very very different to QM2. Thanks for watching
