how hard is it for people to understand that you CAN'T just get in front of a big truck and stop? they can't stop as fast as cars and they'll run your shit over

Two thing. You listen to some good music. Second, you must be a saint because I would have been cursing out most of those drivers. If I drove a semi, I'd probably install a train horn and wear that thing out. I have one on my car and it scares the crap out of people when they go to cut you off. Works like gangbusters.

The person at 5:10 who stopped in front of the light has to be the dumbest person I've seen in awhile. After numerous honks from the person directly behind him and the big rig, he just sits there like nothings going on. Then, once the big rig passes him in the left lane, the person takes off... That's just genius.

As this guys wife, I was worried everyday he left for work. However, we have since moved to Wyoming, so there will be no more of these vids. And even though now he hauls doubles, full of sulphur, I no longer worry about his safety as much!

Oh man, I feel for the truckers. They tend to attract the stupid drivers for some reason. And the two waiting at the meter light must be dead at the wheel.

Truck drivers need the patience of a saint! Great videos. I drive a little car but got my car cam running also. So many people trying to die.

I hate when I'm going a little over the given speed limit on the right lane, and someone still tailgates the living crap out of me like a hemorrhoid up my arse.

The cops mainly ticket speeders.I think they should ticket bad drivers.

I never knew how bad California drivers were until I moved away then came back to visit....

I always heard, "Two things are certain in life; Death and Taxes." Though, I find this to be incomplete. I think it's more along the lines of, "Three things are certain in life; Death, Taxes, and stupid people."

This video is evidence to how hard truck driving can really be. 1. You have long ass hours and most of the times few days to deliver stuff. 2. Your truck is hard to drive cause it's fucking huge. 3. People in cars trying their hardest to get around you so they can make it to work, it just pisses me off. If your in a hurry wait for a safe opening to pass the truck, not cut them off.

In the UK we don't stop for school buses, it's called natural selection.

You, sir are a saint. All those incidents, and the only time you honk your horn is to get people to pay attention to what's in front of them. And you're an awesome truck driver considering all these people do. That's a hard driving job.

I just retired after 40+ years on the road. This video is just the tippy tip of the iceberg of what you put up with when you make your living behind the wheel. Professional drivers can tell story after story after story of near misses, wrecks, and heart stopping moments. As the Army used to say, "It's not just a job, it's an adventure".

Much respect to all Truck Drivers. Dad has to deal with idiots like these on a daily basis.

for the nontruckdriver, a semi is sixtyfive feet long, and you cannot always pull over for people on an on ramp because of several cars next to you in the adjoining lane. to bad these videos cannot show both mirrors. if you have never driven a semi, you have no idea of the time and space management needed to stay safe. plus the rigs can legally weight 80,000 pounds. do you really want to take the chance of experiencing fourth tons???

I'm a retired truck driver with 47 years on the road experience and accident free! You would not believe the idiots I've seen over the years. I've seen some horrible wrecks and I wish some people could of seen the things I've seen, they wouldn't drive so careless!

Regarding the first clip. I am curious, why vehicles have to stop when the lights a flashing on the school bus? Is it just at the schools or anywhere they stop? Is there a specific distance you have to stop from them if it is anywhere they stop?

13 years? I drove for 6 months & decided to change careers before I lost my rag & killed some one. The ignorance & stupidity is unbelievable. I have the greatest respect for truck drivers who can do this day in & day out without losing their sanity.

There really needs to be thorough driving etiquette and mechanical aptitude requirements for getting a license to prevent situations like these as well as broken lights/etc. Driving is a dangerous privilege, but people see it as a simple right. Ridiculous.

The music is so peaceful considering the insane amount of rage going on inside of those cars.

This is exactly why I cannot stand driving in California. Drivers cutting you off or racing ahead to get into your lane, only to put on the brakes and turn at the next right, because getting BEHIND my car when you're going slower than me is not justifiable, it's better to speed up to get ahead of me, then slam on your brakes to turn right. Worst drivers I've ever encountered. Seems every California driver I've come across has this mentality of being out for themselves. No respect for others, no respect for safe driving, as long as they get there first.

Being a bad driver is subjective to those with different attitudes, but who is at fault is an entirely different question.

Takes a special kind of patience to be a truck driver in a major city dealing with all the idiots on the road.

When entering a freeway from an on-ramp, try to increase your speed to match that of the freeway traffic. Do not merge into traffic until the solid white line has ended. Do not stop in the acceleration lane unless absolutely necessary. Remember, you must yield the right of way to the traffic already on the freeway." Case closed

Nice video. I see stuff like this all the time in the metro Washington DC area. Always cracks me up to see people rushing and hitting their breaks when they can clearly see there are several dozen cars in front of them, all driving slowly. Still the tools speed up, hit their brakes hard, lurch forward again and hit the brakes hard again, over and over. The auto repair guys who fix brakes must love those drivers.

The city should start a "Citizens on Patrol" program that allows drivers to submit video on bad drivers to get them in trouble. 8 incidents = ticket.

It makes me really angry how flippant so many people are about taking others' lives into their stupid, hasty and unskilled hands in traffic.

Props to you man. This is the reason I did not pursue a career in trucking. In the town I live in, even in my little 3600lbs car, I see this shit everyday. It's astounding. Sometimes, I can barely avoid the crazies in my little car. I can't even IMAGINE what it's like to try and stop a loaded semi! But again, hats off to you for what you do brother.

wow. I recognized 98% of those routes. Grew up here on the peninsula and traffic is mad these days. I also value my dash cam and thankful my car does not appear in any of your video clips!!! :) Drive safely! Patience is a necessity these days.

I see why folks looking for Russian crash videos might find this boring but I enjoyed it, it's interesting seeing this from a truckers point of view and I LOVE the sound of the truck and that view with the long hood. The music is good too, thanks!

radio station or cd/mp3 ?

I've just recently retired my chauffeurs license of 53 years of driving everything from taxi up and including big rigs. I've driven all over the lower 48 and parts of Canada and have had my share of chapters in a book if I cared to write one. I can't brag about being a perfect driver, I've had a few minor speedtrap tickets and a couple of tight squeeze fender scrapes, but thank the powers that be-, no major accidents. In my days of driving we didn't have the technology there is today, communication was done by truck stop phones and short range CB radios if you had one, or by lights and hand signals. I have only had a dash cam in my SUV for the past two years and I'm amazed at the stupidity of the drivers I capture every day and can only wish I could have had a cam to capture the idiots of the past.

I deal with these types of crappy drivers everyday on my way to school I get so pumped idk how you didn't say one word lol

I know this is an old video,but I recognized it as the bay without even reading the description. Sadly, it isn't even the worst I have seen. I've had so many near- collisions that I am certain that should I die young it will be because of idiots on the road. I was raised to respect the 18-wheeler driver.

Thanks for reminding me of the good old days commuting on 280 or 101. I used to watch out for "Stupid Beemer Tricks". Once in a while there'd be a younger guy in a Camaro (or something) doing something dumb.

Radio is so old school. Putting your own playlist on a portable music device or USB stick is the way to go :P

5:22 what kind of traffic light is that; left side showing 2 reds, right side: top switches red/green in 2 seconds and bottom lights not on? Some king of merging lights? The left side ones only come on if it senses cars in that lane?

I hadn't read the description but I realized that this was all filmed near where I live. At one point you are getting onto the freeway at a metering light (with the white line jumper) and I know exactly where that is. My mom's work used to be right there until they moved buildings in November. I'm in San Mateo County.
