Summer Lyn is actually pretty good despite some debate. Those extra stats really help her take on armors and not get one shot by anything that’s not a green compared to Hinoka.

Lyn having a different flavor of L!Lucina bow was a godsend to her. Tibarn has already proven how powerful effects depending on the opponents HP can be and the armor effectiveness is just icing on the cake. Flier buffs and movement make her into a great initiator and is pushing me closer to actually making set flier teams rather then just throwing what I can together week by week for AA. Shes in the running for strongest colored bow for sure.

As a fan of FE7 I don't mind her getting another alt as much as others especially when I'm just glad Camilla didn't get two summer alts, still though I wouldn't have minded it being anyone else. Like you said she had everything going for her for being a bad unit, being Blue and low Def are the main things I noticed. With Lyn she was saved by her skills, reaching 14 Def on initiation is no joke for a unit with 20 base. The thing is though Lyn would've been even better if she wasn't Blue because yeah sure she'll kill Zelgius and Myrrh but with Surtr I think she'll struggle a bit, if she was Colourless she'd definitely do better. I will say she's better than WoF Hinoka though since IS seems to be aware that many Armors run DC this time.

Every time these overhyped charas with 5+ alts get a new one, someone else's favorite gets shafted, and most of those don't even have a single alternative version. I don't get mad a the character itself, but at the waste that is giving a single character so much spotlight when there's dozens of other heroes.

"Substitute another horsey... flyer buff" i think the word you were looking for was pegasus. And now i will forever imagine hinoka tossing Lucy Lawless at people.

I've never cared too much about too many alts. It's a fact of the game and I mostly ignore it. Lyn's got simple weapon and a solid statline. I've used Lloyd for a while now who has +3 atk/spd against 100% hp units. And pretty much any time he doesn't get the buff is when he doesn't need it. It's one of the easiest conditions to meet. Should also mention that fast armor slayers are getting more important. Seeing how the special fighter armors rely on the speed. Hell, she has 31 res with the weapon too. Which allows you to take on mages as well. Just keep her away from archers as usual.

If I manage to pull summer lyn my build idea I got is swift sparrow 3, then sabotage def 3, atk wave or spd wave and finally darting blow seal. What do you think? Too much overkill?

Bad what bad about lyn is that she study impact fodder man.
