Bad is probably too strong a term, "Ill-conceived" or "goofy" is likely a better description, but I went with bad for obvious reasons. Like you say, many of the toys in this series are actually awesome (I owned a few too, even though I wasn't the target demo😁), and a surprising number are still made today. Sometimes I picked what to include based on the weirdness of the concept, or even based on the absurdity of the commercial, and some of the toys are just pretty bad (looking at you Nosey Bears). I've been thinking about changing the title of the video series to "Bad or Rad? 80 Toys Every...." what do you think? Thanks for the comment/dropping by, always appreciated!
I find Cricket, and to a lesser extent Bouncing Babies, incredibly creepy, but I'm sure 80's kids would find today's toys weird. Amazing video, as always!

So i'm sure you'll remember she took a whopping 4 C batteries AND a 9v battery! Those 9v's were hard to find as a kid! 😂 Thanks for the comment/dropping by, always appreciated!
I had a cricket doll too. She was a hand-me-down from my cousins. I don't remember her ever talking because we never had the batteries for her... she's probably still in my parent's attic somewhere.
