They looked at him like that because Abraham Lincoln was assassinated at a play. Not because he sounded a certain way. I also find it silly that everyone is so suprised that the kid read a line off a teleprompter. Congrats, he can read.

Tron - the joke wasn’t staged ffs. If they were trying to make the kids seem funny, they’d given better lines to Shep cause he wasn’t funny at all. Don’t underestimate Lando just because he’s a kid, he probably knew the fact from history classes or whatever. You can see that he didn’t understand that that was “dark humorously” funny, he just said it. Also, by the crew’s and Rhett and Link’s reacton, that came 100% unexpectedly from him
