"Until I got a phone call In 1994 from Greg Hetson, saying: you wanna be in the band? cuz Brett left, and it was unbelievable and I said yes immediately, because it was something I wanted to be a part of so badly"... nice story Mr. Baker... :D
"He's the sssickest drummer I've ever played with. He's just a mad gifted musician" ... hehe, couldn't agree more... :D... I feel skeptical about this band though, they're just too good to be true... hope to see them live some time...
imagine Graffin taking in the news of Brett's departure. He would have to write ALL the songs for subsequent BR records instead of half the songs like before. I feels for him :/ not to say Brett made a mistake, but man that would suck if you lost your songwriting partner just like that.
It seems like Jay and Brooks have become really good buddies since his joining of the band. They are always in pictures together, the two of them. Kinda funny because they have somewhat opposite mannerisms
BRING BACK BROOKES, BOBBY, GREG HETSON AND BRETT NEEDS TO REJOIN THE BAND AND PLAY A LOT MORE SHOWS LIVE WITH BAD RELIGION :) YES BAD RELIGION SHOULD HAVE TWO DRUMMERS INSTEAD OF 1
Brooks can drum, yes. But Bobby added to the warmth and legacy of BR. He made things more fun and had that punk style. Brooks doesnt have that. He's just 'the drummer who looks down while drumming, too mechanical
Brooks was the best drummer for Bad Religion. Every track was different and unique. I never understood the "minimal is better" argument that a lot of punk rockers have when it comes to drums.
excuse me? hahahahaha .. dude, he single-handedly rejuvenated the sound. Actually looking back I would kill to have original recordings with him playing already since this ever predictable break/filler drumming of Bobby is (from a drum perspective) pretty lame
