right on that's awesome, we do what we can do on the large ones to save the windshield...good job.

the rain x kit is the best one, but here is something you need to do make sure you have a mirror behind the chip so you can actually still the chip once the tool is in place, also it helps you get lined up correctly. once the tool is in place, take the resin chamber out of the center, loosen off the plunger about 3 full turns, then put the resin in the bottom of the tool, make sure you thump on it to get the air out and if needed back it off another turn to make sure you have enough in the tool, use about 15 drops of the resin they give you. once you know all that is in the tool tighten the plunger back in to make sure the resin come up to the edge of the rubber seal, then back off a quarter of turn, just so it's right below the edge. then twist it back into the X. Once you make contact with the glass just go 1/8th of a turn, you don't need to tighten it down hard, just enough to seal, then hold the base and back off the plunger, make sure you are in the shade when you do this, back off the plunger about 4 full turns and just let that sit for about two or three minutes, that creates a vacuum on the glass and as the air comes out of the chip the resin will begin to flow in to the chip. after about three minutes, back the plunger all the way out, and make sure you pull it up to break the vacuum, then put it back in and tighten it down, watch the seal. as the seal starts to bulge a little stop and wait and just watch the lines begin to fill, once the resin stops flowing, give it another 1/8th of a turn, when the lines are full or mostly full then you are finished, remove the tool and wipe with the windshield with a dry rag, then put the remaining resin from your kit on all the lines and the center and place the patch on the glass. move it into the sun and let sit for about 5 min. take the patch off and crape the resin off with the razor they give you and then clean the windshield and you are done. hope that helps.
