Theres something so damn sad and beautiful about this song and I love love love songs like this that sound all happy and upbeat but when you reeeally listen to the lyrics you find yourself dancing around your living room bawling your eyes out. And I love how "dancing on quicksand" gives this image of being so happy about a relationship you dont even realize youre losing the person you love. Realizing your relationship is falling apart and just enjoying what you can while you still can. I still dont know if this song makes me happy or sad but I'm obsessed with it and I listen to it non stop
I'll lose myself in a moment Can't find my way out for days I'll come to you on my hands and knees, on my hands and knees I ran out of luck, when I fucked up And nothings going to change that uh woah And when its too much You thought time was supposed to make this right again oh Ooooo ooooo dancing on quick sand Ooooo ooooo dancing on quick sand I run to the elevator You see me but let the door shut Don't be upset, its not hard to laugh I love you when you're mad I ran out of luck , when I fucked up And nothings going to change that uh woah And when its too much, you thought Time was supposed to make this right again I ran out of luck, when I fucked up And nothings going to change that uh woah And when its too much, you thought Time was supposed to make this right again oh Ooooo ooooo dancing on quick sand Ooooo ooooo dancing on quick sand Ooooo ooooo dancing on quick sand Ooooo ooooo dancing on quick sand I think I'm coming around oh yeah I ran out of luck, when I fucked up And nothing's going to change that uh woah And when its too much, You thought time was supposed to make this right again I ran out of luck, when I fucked up And nothing's going to change that uh woah And when its too much, You thought time was supposed to make this right again oh Oooo oooo dancing on quick sand Ooooo ooooo dancing on quick sand Ooooo ooooo dancing on quick sand Ooooo ooooo dancing on quick sand
The real trick is to have good headphones so you can appreciate the vocal harmonies during the chorus and little splashes of engineering like in the intro before the 1st verse. There's so many layers to love.
This band is very talented! My daughter took me to their headliner show in San Fran a few weeks ago, and they killed it! It was my first real experience with their music, meaning I had heard maybe 2 of their songs before going to the show. Bad Suns,... You guys ROCK! I see nothing but good things to come for you in the future! It's been a long time since Ive seen a Frontman with such energy and perfect vocals! I am a Fan.😊 Coachella anyone? Oh Wow, I just remembered that I have a pretty bad recording of that entire show on my IPhone. Good band+Great songs that make you wanna dance=Bad Recording. Parking Garage for about 3 hours~ $22.00 Grey Goose and VERY LITTLE Red BULL~ $10.00 Tickets for an Amazing BAD SUNS Show~ $50.00 Getting to share this night and experience with my Daughter in San Francisco during her 1st year of college away from Home ~ PRICELESS!!
I went through a weird little downward spiral in my life the very first few weeks of the year. I don't know what happened, but it felt like the world was sort of going against me in a sense. I truly did feel like I had ran out of luck, that I had fucked up somehow. I had been in love with this song ever since last summer, when I first started listening to Bad Suns, but during this weird period, this song started to really get to me, almost like it was written about me. A lot of their songs do that to me. But the best part of it is, is that, although it feels like I've been dancing on quicksand, I can really feel like, right now, that I'm coming around.
Congrats on making a song that uses one of the strongest words in our language, yet sounds so wonderful and non-offensive in its implementation. Very catchy, one of my favorites by Bad Suns.
I love this song so much, but the part where he sings "Dancing on quicksand," yeah It kind of sounds like he's saying, "Dancing alone click send." Lol idk.
@@smorgington but almost every pop artist out there droppin that word now in their songs LOL It's ok for the bigger artists but not for the smaller ones
My son was digging on the cats. And I heard one song and proceeded to listening to all of their work. Oh and just gettin loose and dancing whenever I hear them. These guy are my beach bum fix
Oh my gosh I love this song. I thought that what Sarah Gray said was genius. Man I love this song. I wished it had a censored version. Replacing "f*cked" with "messed." I want to show the girl that I like this song, but she's Mormon. Still a GREAT song.
“I’ll lose in a moment. Can’t find my out for days. I’ll come to you on my hands and knees, on my hands and knees. I ran out of luck. Well I fuk’d up, and nothins gonna change that.” Let me just pick my heart up and put the pieces back together :)
