Hi Chris wow! Just stunning views. Nice jacket too. I can't wait to see the Lakes again. Very atmospheric. For someone that can't climb mountains it was stunning to see. Looking forward to your next adventure. Enjoy the rest of the week 😊👍
Great to see you you out and about again in the hills pal, enjoy all of your content as it's very informative but the actual wild camps are what I enjoy most. Keep it up mate. 👍
Excellent collab there with And superb location with some great views. Enjoyed the chat and photography very much.. Great bunch of lads and thise impressions, 😂😂. Thanks for sharing pal and how impressive is that bobcat of Ants.. keep doing what you are doing Chris. Atb mate
Congrats on a splendid video, very atmospheric Chris. Love that Access 1. Also nice to see Wardle in your company. Very impressed with your music choice mate, Franz Gordon you have outstanding taste, thank you for sharing throughly enjoyed that mate 👍
I have been in Dubs Hut many times but it is always empty but many be different on an evening. Looked a real spacious pitch and one thing for sure you were not going to lose your tent in the dark. Fair play it looked roomy inside, despite the tent gymnastics and solid in that wind too. Cheers Alan
A tad snug in the tent but it did its job, great camp out with good palls. P.s snow in Staffordshire from Wed late eve thru to sat 😀 eeek how exciting! Hooe you will be able to get a outings of any kind in it 👍.
Can't beat wrestling some waterproofs in a tent Chris - you looked pretty adept TBH, there's usually a lot of swearing whenever I have to get togged up in a tent!
Spot on Chris, captured the atmosphere perfectly on this video pal. We had great windy but thankfully dry weather Saturday which is always a bonus isn't it. Least we all managed to hang out Saturday night man. Its always a pleasure to go out on a camp with you pal, cheers for the invite 👍
Seen all 3 versions it’s great they’re different in a good way. It’s like 3 for the price of 1. A treble feature 😂😂 Looked a great night. Good lads. Good beers good banter. That tent looked good too. Oh and I love the jacket. Are you reviewing it separately?! Be interesting to see the features I’d have to save up but if it’s good I’d Consider getting one. Thanks for the video mate. Take care.
I think that brewery does tours and also has a shop , it’s only up the road from me , Great video as per usual Chris. Looks like you all had a blast 🤙🏕️
I never knew the Lakes had Bothy's 🥰 I've been lucky enough to stay in a fair few in bonny Scotland. Loving all the little nuggets of info in your videos mate.
Cracking camp Chris. Shame the original pitch was a bit boggy, it looked nice up there, but you ended up in a great location. It looked perfect. The MSR tent looks pretty good mate 👌
Lovely video many thanks 🙏 I once stayed in Mosedale cottage in the mid 1980s, before it got refurbished when I was there the ceiling was coming down, try and stay the night in the haunted room if you are anywhere near there 👻😂😂
Thanks pal - I'll be heading up for some solitude in the Soulo (Solo 😁) when next free time allows. No music, just ambient sounds (and hopefully), views - ATB 👍
Cracking night that. All round great trip. No stress no worries. Escaped from it all. I really enjoyed it. Great seeing you and Ant again. Hopefully not as long for the next one. Send gallop
Chris, your tent gymnastics are different to how I remember them in my youth🤣 Top film on a top mountain. Yeah I know it's a hill, but not imo, definitely a mountain.
Is this tent worth the money? I have the elixr2 and considering the 2man, i dont mind paying a little more if its worth it, i have the Helm1 i like the idea its outer first,my mind is goofed with it all, keep up with the great vids!
Totally subjective - in my view and having used both, this is a more capable tent than the Elixir. If you want to push your camping in terms of the weather - then it's one to consider. The space in this, for the tiny footprint is immense and it can also hold its own in some reasonable winds. I'd say 35 / 40 max - a great shelter
Hey mate. Great content as ever. Fancy this tent. Did you much much in the way of the dreaded condensation? Just asking as I thought of taking it on the Cape Wrath. I've read different reports about the ventilation. Any help appreciated. Thanks. 👍
There was genuinely zero condensation in it the next morning. There's a bit more venting / mesh on this version. I had the vents fully open and was pitched end into the wind, so no doubt that helped.
Hi Dave - did you borrow a newer model? There a proper vents on both the head and feet ends of the tent. There is also a proper vent on the inner door. In addition, you can always unzip the inner when it's cold and physics mean condensation is an inevitable outcome, I do that on my Soulo mate. Tent is superb, only thing I don't like is the inner first pitch. ATB 👍
