Yeah. This video hit me pretty hard. I'm of Irish descent and The Cranberries' version of Zombie was a favorite of mine when it came out. This is a beautifully done version. A great tribute as well. The date on the glass wall is what made me cry.

As a Cranberries fan, who grew up with the band, this cover, too this day, brings chills and tears to my eyes. Great cover, with the lyrics updated somewhat to reflect our times (the year change to 2018, the mention of "drones" instead of "guns"). If you haven't watched the video for the original "Zombie" by The Cranberries, I definitely recommend it. Bad Wolves did great with this, captured the emotion in the song and did fitting tribute to Dolores with the woman resembling her as she appeared in the original video, all in gold and gold paint, with the outfit perfect, too. I've seen other covers of this song where it's clear that people have no clue regarding its meaning, and try to go hard on it like it's just some hard rock song... or worse, performing it with a big smile on their face! The original song is about The Troubles, the ethno-nationalist conflict in Northern Ireland which went on for decades, and it's specifically about the 1993 IRA bombing in Warrington, England, which killed two little boys and injured 56 others. It's a very political song, a protest song, full of righteous anger, frustration, and sadness. It's probably The Cranberries' heaviest, most aggressive song, sound-wise.

Bad Wolves and Delores had become friends in the lead up to this cover. Both parties were like kids on Christmas Eve waiting to do this. Then Delores Died. They did the cover, some biting back tears as they did it. You can feel the hurt and passion come through in this cover. It's a beautiful cover and tribute to their fellow artist and friend.

This song is a protest song about the Northern Ireland conflict, especially the IRA's Warrington Bombing in 1993 where 2 children died and another 56 people were injured. This song was written by Dolores O'Riordan the singer of The Cranberries and they released this song in September 1994.

I play this and sing along, loudly, with anger. Anger that warfare causes situations like this, but also with such anger that this woman, thus young mother who had my respect through her music, is gone far too soon. I met Dolores once, years ago, and an act of kindness she showed my little girl when she didn’t have to really touched me.

The power is why we listen, the emotions give us a reason to keep faith in humanity & continues to light the spark in our souls. 👏👏

Best ever , they have already donated 250 thousand to her kids. Although this song has been on for a while the first time i heard it was very shortly after i found out i had three aneurysms in my brain. so the line" what's in yr head " just made me lose it , cried and cried . Song has been rattling around in my head ever since . Have had one surgery (successful clipping ) and going in for second for a coiling . last one is small and will be left alone for a bit thankfully . I grew up discovering Dolores and The Cranberries,thanks to my grandpa saving up enough money through his profession as a handyman,to buy himself a dish(thoose oldschool big antennas that took in several hundred tv and radio channels from all over the world through satellites)So me and my mom would watch MTV for hours and hours,and record music videos from there to bring back home to watch. There i discovered Dolores and The Cranberries,watched interviews where they talked about the meaning behind Zombie and other songs. It took me awhile to like all of theyr songs,noone sounded like them at the time. (Noone really sounds like them today either) But i loved them,got all of theyr albums,even the cd singles. I was heartbroken when i saw the news headline about Dolores passing. Later when i heard about Bad Wolves,i must admit i didnt know about theyr agreement with Dolores in doing the cover together,i didnt know about theyr charity (letting her kids get all the proceeds from the song)Allways been picky on covers,especially if its songs i have so much emotions attached to as with Zombie. I pictured Bad Wolves a band that would growl this song into some noisy metal i would dislike. I watch the music video,and when i read theyr intro i notice tears just falling down both cheeks....it was the "proceeds to Doloreses children" part that got to me. I thought "man,i might have pre-judged theese guys.....i feel bad now". And Tommys first note of the song: Insta blows me away! Like someone else has said "He does not look like he is about to sound like that". And the chorus......might be one of the most powerful choruses i have heard! Of course they had to find a spitting image of Dolores in gold paint,to portrait her soul still trying to be there with them,and writing the date of her passing.....that just broke me in half. And i have repeated myself over and over on Bad Wolves to people. That is the first band ever to have made me love them,and becoming a true supporter of them.....after 1 cover song/1 song in general. Might be the best cover i have ever heard.....if not,then at least within top 5 covers of alltime!

THE best reaction to the Bad Woves' tribute to Dolores to date. Bad Wolves performed a most heartfelt tribute. Their giving up major profits for their most popular recording to date to Dolores' children is amazing. I cannot commend them enough for their generosity. We ARE a community. We need to look out for each other. WE are ALL in this together and we should all start acting accordingly.

I was in tears when I first watched the video after hearing it for a month all around me. You had me in tears again watching this. Their cover is so powerful and the video was done so beautifully, including the 1 - 15 - 2018, the day of her passing was a perfect little touch.

I was 12 when I first heard the original by the Cranberries, and it hit me hard back then. Riordin got me through a rough adolescence, alongside my best friend (of 25 years). My bf and I would escape from everything onto her roof, and belt out Cranberries songs left and right. Fast forward 25 years to watching this version right after her death in 2018... As if the song wasn’t impactful enough on its own! God, I just cried forever afterwards. We’ve lost too many amazing artists recently.
