R.I.P Dolores O’Riordan!!! Bad Wolves “Zombie” (Reaction) 

In an interview Tommy Vex had said that he sent her the recording they did of the song and she loved it. So much she wanted to sing on it. They were not going to put it out when she passed and her family gave their blessing because Delores loved it that much.

I love Dolores O'Riordan's vocals, it is impossible to replace them as they are so haunting. But I gotta give it to Bad Wolves they took a different approach and it worked really well in this cover. It is a testament to a cover when I can listen to either or and be satisfied albeit for different reasons.

As someone who grew up in the cranberries era, this song was done perfectly by Bad Wolves. Saw them in concert and it’s definitely an experience. They did this song justice for sure. Dolores is smiling down from above.

Ive seen a few reactions to this cover and im so happy someone finally made the connection that delores was the golden figure in the original version and they used that to represent her in their cover

Zombie was the first song that opened my eyes to Alternative rock when I was a kid, and I have always loved the Cranberries since then. Zombie is so iconic that no one dared to sing it. So when I saw the thumbnail of this MV by Bad Wolves, I said to myself " This is one bold move by an unknown band" and I was quite skeptical.. but then that golden lady suddenly gave me chills that I suddenly missed her.

The lead singer is Tommy Vext and has recently gone independent from the band bc they wanted to silence his political views and beliefs. He refused to hide his beliefs and even had a gofundme to be able to put out his music. He ended up raising so much that I seen on his Instagram he is planning to start a record label for the artist that get silenced or outlasted because their political views/beliefs don't align with hollywoods. Hes really a good soul. You guys should check out Chris Cornells acoustic live cover of "Nothing compares 2 U" His voice is amazing and he does it so effortlessly. RIP Chris 🙏 He was Chester from linkin parks bestfriend and "committed suicide" about a month or 2 before Chester did. Another good soul.

When Dolores and the cranberries put this out it was a cry and plea for understanding and help... When badwolves covered it, it was a demand.

This video. I've been watching music videos 30 yrs. This is the most moving I have seen. Totally speechless. She wrote her death date in gold paint. At the end she was covered so they could no longer see her, yet she can still hear her song on other side as she walks away. Man this one's way too deep.

I am so glad you guys did this reaction. I think they did an amazing job with this. On a bit of a funny note, I listen to music on my motorcycle while riding and this song came on and I almost crashed caused I started to headbang while riding one day. Bad Wolves done a strong and stirring rendition of this iconic song, but nothing beats the vocals of the original from the late, great Ms. O'Riordan. Tons of respect to the band for not just doing what they wanted and actually requesting permission from the family first and then going a step further to return the proceeds to her family. Speaks volumes to the type of people they are.

The Cranberries were a huge part of my child hood, it was the beginning of what I loved about music. Her sound, her uniqueness, gave me some real strange form of strength. Some of the most recognised songs next to Zombie, is Dreams, Ode to my Family and Linger.

Tommy Vex was the singer of Bad Wolves. The band kicked him out of the band due to his views being different than the other guys in the band. It's a real shame and they'll never be the same without Tommy Vex.

The fact Eminem Dropped Revival December 15th, 2017, and he sampled the chorus and guitars of Dolores for his song in your head. Then January 15th, 2018 she was going to sing with Bad Wolves but passed. Timing was crazy but she’s definitely missed!!

its almost like dolores found piece the moment she heared her message was getting told again. lets hope some other band covers it in like 5 or 10 years cause this message is still fresh but on other parts of the world.

I read somewhere that on the day of filming this video the band was unaware there would be a woman in gold to represent Delores. When she walked on set they broke into tears. She never said a single word that whole day.
