The original versions of songs such as “Zombie” and “The Sound of Silence” were definitely against the machine, but they were more pleading for the violence to stop and to change how things were happening. These remakes are more the next generation hearing from their elders and this is our rage that nothing has changed. As for the video, the big thing in it is the woman in gold. You need to see the original video to understand it better. It is their version of Dolores and how they can see each other, but she is on the other side and he can’t get to her, none of us can buy so badly want her back. She was definitely one of the most iconic voices of the 90’s.

The Cranberries were iconic in the 90's and having Dolores on this track would have been epic. I was shocked to hear of her passing but am really happy with how this cover turned out. You should watch the original video and read about why the song was made. Love your reactions.

The song was originally a song of protest against the violence in the world at the time including violence from the IRA. The reprieve of this song goes to show that the same sort of violence is still going on in the world to this day. It was an iconic song and Dolores O’riordan really made it stand out. Bad wolves cover really did it justice man.

Love how they immortalize Dolores in gold, I missed it at first but the second time I watched and saw the girl in gold write her death date it clicked. In the original video she was in all gold make up and in this one you see the woman being coated in gold then she wrote Dolores death date on the "invisible" barrier. 😭 Really love this song and especially the video!

Dolores O’riordan was the lead singer to "The Cranberries" on January 15 2018 She was suppose to meet up with the Band Bad Wolves because they were covering her song Zombie but sadly she was found lifeless in her hotel room and never got to be a part of Bad Wolves Version of this song. I love the fact that they dedicate the video and all its proceeds to Her children and that they did really change the song to much nor did they alter the video to much, it is a cover that I am sure Dolores O’riordan would have absolutely loved. you should listen to The Cranberries version of Zombie , they also so the song Dreams and Linger.

This song is so much more powerful when you realize that the woman in gold is meant to be Dolores passing over to the other side. She literally died the day before recording this with them. This could have been one of the most epic songs in history had she lived long enough to participate. The world lost an amazing human being, let alone singer, the day she died.

I love Zombie but you need to react to a new song of theirs. Remember when is my favorite. 2 years ago I watched them in concert at a music festival with 50,000 plus people all singing this song together and I had goosebumps like I’ve never had before it was amazing

Song was about the struggle between the Irish Republican Army of Northern Ireland who didn''t want to be a part of the UK. They fought for their independence for decades. The British and the IRA killed each other in droves. In the early 90s, a band called the Cranberries wrote this song to show Americans what was going on because the media never fully reported it. This was their cry for people to pay attention. Bad Wolves were going to record it with the lead singer, but she drown in a tub in an apparent suicide. The gold woman is representative of the lead singer, who in the original video dressed the same.

Bad Wolves front man, Tommy Vext's twin brother attacked him with a crowbar on September 19, 2010. He was convicted of attempted murder & was sentenced to 17 years. Their song, "Remember When" is based on the attack.

It was actually Doroles playing the golden woman. She was supposed to add vocals and scenes but before recording she passed. A great song but perfection would have been with her. May she be in peace along with all the souls that the songs both this and original song that they speak about.

Listen to Remember When, the lead singer was attacked and left for dead by his twin, he flatlined but this world was not done with him and they brought him back from death, the song puts out every feeling he has about what happened, his twin brother is currently in prison for attempted manslaughter

IMHO, this is second-best cover of a song, ever. The first best cover is Disturbed's cover of "The Sound Of Silence," originally by Simon and Garfunkel. After Paul Simon heard Disturbed's cover, he said that it's now Disturbed's song. React to the official version by Disturbed.

The person who commented that the original song was about the Troubles is absolutely correct. It was essentially a civil war between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Dolores was from the Republic of Ireland but like most people couldn't stand the violence. The IRA may have been fighting for home rule, but they murdered civilians and children. And the fact that a lot of people wouldn't say anything or speak out against it is what she was saying was the worst part about it all. When we normalize violence anything becomes acceptable. Bad Wolves are essentially saying the same thing is happening today. Specifically between the Palestinians and Israelis, but I think you could also apply to the police force here in the US. Just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️
