JJ getting upset that Reid was lashing out at her frustrated me. Reid was deeply hurt; he has a LOT of trust issues because of his childhood, and JJ knew that. But Reid still trusted her implicitly, and considered JJ his family. And when he went to someone he felt he could trust and be vulnerable with, he later realized they were ALLOWING him to suffer, and hurt, and watch him in pain. JJ watched him spiral in grief, and when the truth came out, Reid felt betrayed in the worst possible way. And while Reid is a genius, he has some emotional stunting, and he reacted harshly. JJ trying to reason things out with him wasn't going to work, because she did something to him that was on the level of his father abandoning him, and he needed to be angry. She should have respected that, apologized for the hurt she caused, and understood that he needed time. Expecting to have the same relationship after she abused his trust in her was foolish.
@@4nadiaic that's true and I don't think the comment is saying that she should've told him. Regardless of the reason it was a breach of trust and was painful for him. JJ wasn't wrong to not tell him but it was wrong of her to be upset with Spencer when he had an emotional reaction to realizing he'd been lied to.
@@gore0802 There are different types of intelligence. There are also many episodes where reid figures things out without just having a "databank of information."
JJ had no right to assume that Spencer was upset because he couldn't profile JJ and Hotch at the hospital. He went to JJ's house for ten weeks crying over losing a close friend. Most of the trust issues he has stem from his childhood and JJ was perfectly aware of that.
@@HariSeldon913 True. I mean, based on what I remember it did last for a few episodes (two to three, at least) but this was kinda the major blowout of it all.
Ried is just so adorkable. He makes me feel better about being a nerd. Morgan is wonderful eye candy while Hotch and Rossi's voices give me the warm fuzzies.
i know this is a joke but i see this sentiment sometimes unironically and i just want to say.... MGG was literally scouted from the street by a modeling agency when he was in college. let's not act like the reason we simp for spencer reid has nothing to do with the actor being an extremely conventionally attractive man
You're right, but it's also because of how the character of Spencer was written, and the charm that Matthew himself added to it!!! Is a combination of physical attractiveness with a unique set of characteristics that are imbeded in the fabric of Spencer reid as an individual
Cause he's not a "Lets punch a hole in the wall" guy... He's a "I will verbally destroy you, emotionally wreck you and leave you questioning your existence" guy
i said to someone recently that reid getting shot in the leg was the start of his daddyfication and going to prison was the final phase and i feel like this video shows every moment in between so thank you for this
MATTHEW was considering leaving the show. They offered him his owns "mini movie" about his mom, her meds, Mexico & prison. He liked it so he stayed. Erica Messer says this on one of the later DVDs in the special features. Watch those you could learn things and not just about explosions. I don't blame MATTHEW for thinking about leaving because all they let him do is spew facts, cry and as he said "treat (him) like a baby". He's only 2 years younger than AJ Cook. I for one, if MATTHEW left the show so would I. I still don't know why or who took the show off the air. The shows CBS should have canceled are both the NCIS. Other shows stayed during pandemic, CRIMINAL MINDS should have too. I have all seasons of the show on DVD. Since moving this MARCH 1st I haven't gotten cable or satellite. I've just watched them. Everyone got to grow a lot except Spencer until the last year or so. The show did get better when Morgan left. (NO hate please, just my opinion). Which let Spencer grow up luckily. I personally don't miss Morgan but when PAGET & AJ we fired I was pis..d, cried. But when they came back the show was even greater again. Must have Spencer, Emily, Garcia and J.J. in that order. Watching from begining again I have new appreciation or Giden and Ell actors.
@@sherryhull8135 I really think they ended the show after 15 years because the director was just not a good person (I believe thats the reason why Thomas Gibson was fired and Mandy Patinkton left). It would’ve been nice for them to continue it but again after 15 years, a lot of ideas go away or reused and it becomes boring after a while, sadly. I definitely miss it, miss Hotch, Morgan, Gideon etc. but definitely felt it was for the better. I’ve heard they wanted to do a sequel of some sort but just won’t (from the crew themselves, mainly Paget)
i love love love this man😭 i now get when other people say how much they love fictional characters bc i have never loved a fictional character more than this man😭
Honestly one could make the argument that it is possible to make a fully detailed medical skematic of all of the bones, muscles, veins, arteries, and other connective tissue of the human hand by simply using a picture of his hands as reference, that's How SEXY his hands are
Listen, I know there is a lot of controversy in the fandom about the Emily/JJ/Spence situation, but I just want to say that Spence, and the entire fcking team, had a right to be pissed or upset or fckin frustrated. Yes, we all know Aaron and JJ couldn't say anything, WE KNOW, we aren't dumb, we watched the same show everyone else did, we KNOW that telling them the truth would've put Em in danger, we are aware of this, but that does NOT mean that the team didn't have a right to have feelings about it. Spence and Derek and everyone knew they couldn't have been told the truth, thus why they forgave them pretty quickly after they found out, but they had every single right to be upset about it. They did feel betrayed, and their feelings were valid. I mean fck! Derek and Spence carried her casket, that's gonna fck somebody up for a while. Spence was valid in his anger. Should he have used his addiction the way he did against JJ, no, that wasn't right of him, but he was still 1000% valid to be pissed at them. It was a shitty situation all around and everyone was allowed to have feelings about it.
