BADASS Police Cars!! VPD Responding With Lights & Siren

Captured here are patrol cars of the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) responding to emergencies all over the city. VPD is known for its 'mean-looking' vehicles, including the Dodge Charger, Ford Interceptor Utility, Ford F150 Pickup, Chevrolet Tahoe, and many more. This video features lights and siren responses (including the impressive Rumbler siren) as well as footage of police officers at the scene of incidents.
NOTE: The first lights and siren response clip shows a brand new 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility with a Federal Signal Pathfinder 'Ready For The Road' (RFTR) emergency light package. The Vancouver Police are said to be transitioning to using this setup for their vehicles in the future.

Vancouver has outstanding men and women keeping us safe in a tough time. I admire and respect the men and women I see in my neighborhood every day and night. The addiction issues are out of control due to lack of detox, rehab, and psychiatric hospital. The VPD are amazing. Professional, compassionate and always there when you need them. I live in a Seniors building and we have 100% support for law enforcement. We support the VPD men and women who are part of our community and families and everything! Love and support from Nicholson Tower on Nelson at Thurlow.

Not sure if you're able to reveal anything about their fleet, but did VPD opt for the Hybrids or the regular N/A model? And what's up with VPD never having spotlights on their cars? Seems like they're the only city that doesnt order them. Here in Saanich they have dual spotlights even though they run 1-man cars 90% of the time lol!

Hello, I grew up in Vancouver! And now we are living in the U.S so seeing this means a lot to me,seeing all the cool cop cars! And the new police livery. Awsome job man! And btw the last time we went to Vancouver I saw SO MANY UNDERCOVER COP CARS! a it’s insane! So thank you great job and hope all a good day!

Beautiful footage - Vancouver does have some great looking units! That pickup truck responding was especially cool - Seattle has a few that they added pretty recently, but I've only caught one on my dashcam, so I'm hoping for better footage soon.

New 2020 ford police interceptor utilities 1 of 35 units. The first ones have a Federal Signal Pathfinder Ready for The Road system with a Federal Signal Valor lightbar which is featured on the video. The other ones have a Whelen Carbide system with a Whelen Legacy lightbar, which is not featured on the video.

they used to have the Tomar 940 siren, they currently have the Code 3 Z3 siren, and on the newer 2020 vehicles they're using the Federal Signal Pathfinder.

@@sigmasafety They have 35 2020 FPIU units on their fleet. The first 5 units have the Federal Signal Pathfinder Ready For The Road (RFTR) emergency warning system. And the other 30 units on their 2020 FPIU fleet have the Whelen CenCom Carbide Ready For The Road (RFTR) emergency warning system with the WeCan technology.

@@RenanMXFNYT With respect, your information is incorrect. I just spoke with their fleet manager this morning. They have 5 x 2020 Ford UI's with Pathfinders in them. Also, the PF has never been available in the Ford RFTR package. You may be thinking of the 25 Chargers they got last fall that were built by Ground Effects? Cheers.

Wow they've got some really old cars they must keep them for a long time. Here in Qeensland Australia they turn theirs over every 4 years or 80,000-100,000km. Sometimes it more than 100,000km but they're normally replaced within 4 years. In Victria it's every 3 years or so and 60,000km but due to Holden stopping production of the Commodore Chevy SS along with pulling out of AUS altogether they've had to keep some longer than normal.

I think Ottawa police looks pretty cool actually. I don’t mind the more clean white look. VPD is of course quite impressive with their intimidating and dark design, but it does lack in terms of visibility.

Their main siren, the Code 3 Z3, is not programmed to include a phaser for VPD. The new siren model that they are introducing has a phaser (as seen/heard in the first response clip).

Oh cool! Yea I mean it can always be re-programmed or changed later on. I’m not an expert on sirens, but VPD is definitely using a greater variety nowadays.
