In this vid, we return to Windrock and get video of the BOH Trail 26. Camera died last time we went, so I wanted to make SURE we got it this time. Weather was terrible on this day, but we had a big time anyway. Trail 26 is an easy trail, but the rain and runoff did make for some interesting moments, LOL!

Nice video. We encountered the unexpected gate at the end of 26 last year as well, but we went back on 27. Fortunately, it was not raining when we went.

Don't blame you for wanting to avoid that ledge in the rain.

Right? Plus, we got to see a new trail! Thanks for watching, buddy!!

What a muddy mess Clint. Personally I'd rather stay home. We are spoiled in Colorado with an abundance of sunshine.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Well Bob, I would tend to agree. Not a fan of mud either. We'd had this trip planned for months, and being 6+ hrs away, going home and coming back the next day wasn't a viable option. But, this was the only bad weather day, so all in all, it was a great trip!👍🏻🤘🏻

we just did the creek yesterday!

Nice!! Glad it wasn't a rolling river for y'all!! It's all good though. The next day, we found another way down to the prison.😁

@@ShockWaveOffroad it was rolling but it wasn't anything like you guys had I bet. Not sure if we were supposed to go up that boat launch looking thing but we did it. Got one weird look from a man on a bike and left. Ill have to look up the prison.

LOL! Yeah, I'm not sure where you pull out of the creek, either. Brushy Mountain State Penetentiary. It's pretty cool. They have a restaurant called "The Warden's Table". Pretty good food, get the baked potato if they're not sold out.

What was the situation with the Jeep on the final hill climb? Was it in 4 low fully locked up? Many times more send will get the job done. Climbs with limited traction greatly benefit from forward momentum.
@ShockWaveOffroad
@ShockWaveOffroad 3 года назад
So, right at the end where I kept "stalling", was a berm from the ruts. I'm pretty sure I was too far left on the climb and when I tried to come back right, the berm and ruts caused me to lose my momentum. I was in 4Lo, but was not locked initially. I did lock on the final attempt where I made it. I generally don't like to "send it", as that causes shit to break, and we drive to the trails and don't trailer it. But, it was fun!

@@ShockWaveOffroad give your rig more credit than that. Little more send it and get er’ done will be fine. You built yours with quality parts. You can push it harder than that, believe me. Stay away from the bouncing type of skinny pedal of course. I don’t trailer ours either, so I understand the concern. But they can handle a lot.

Appreciate the compliment. This is my 5th Jeep, and though I've mainly used high quality parts throughout the steering and drivetrain, our Jeeps are still pieces of machinery. I've been dead on the trail before and it's no fun, LOL! Maybe those previous experiences have damaged me....🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Did Windrock Trail 2 (super easy) and 26 today. The rain and rutting of 26 made it more difficult for this novice, but man was it fun! Great Video content!!

Awesome, man!!! We haven't done 2 yet, but then again, there's a bunch we haven't done, LOL! Rain definitely changes things, even on an easy trail. Glad you had a big time and enjoy the content! Thanks for watching and the comment !!🤘🏻

You recently did a video on radios choices. Was your group using CB or something else?

Was a crazy run for sure. The cameras do no justice to the amount of water coming down the trail. There was whitewater coming off some of the rocks. Awesome day!

yep, the camera never does justice. the rocks always look smaller, the super steep hills always look relatively flat, and the views never look near as beautiful. looks like a really fun day!
