Unfortunate the film didn't get the marketing a theatrical release deserves! (that also during the pandemic) So happy to finally have a well rounded film that tells story of LGBTQ community with great empathy.
Hey Sucharita, I am an ardent fan of your reviews. But here I think you revealed a lot about the movie than we got to know from the trailer. Like the cameo by Gulshan deviahah, what his profession is and which character he meets, its impact would have been much better if I didn't come to know about it from a review. Also, the minor details regarding the journey of Shardul in the movie (as you mentioned he maintains law and order in the pride parade and the rest he is learning) was not required to be told in the movie review. The character is a protagonist and as a viewer, I'd rather like to know the beats of his journey from the movie only. Hope you'll understand my point.
I watched this movie on Netflix yesterday and loved it!!!!! So proud of the way this topic was handled and it was such an enjoyable and emotional watch ❤️❤️❤️
kha se? neeche se? aur haan angreji ka ratta marne ke bajaye spelling pe bhi dhyan diya hota to jada shi hota......review hota hai "reviuew" nhi.....jahil.......
Just watched this movie……. This is the best movie that has ever been made on homosexuality! Must watch!!! Guys this movie will gonna be remembered forever for its best showcase of society and coming out!♥️ Thank you to the creators of this story I am gonna copy and paste this comment under all the videos of this movie
I do not understand why people are hating on this beautiful piece of Art. It was such a great experience for me throughout the entire duration of it. Every character portrayed their part beautifully. The bond between the love interests of each individual protagonist were given a sweet, real, non stereotypical story not including any unwanted sexual interactions. It was freash breathe of air and also has numerous thought provoking scenes which seems very natural and enjoyable and not shoved into our face like many films portraying the Lgbtq community does. So For me it's a movie worth every penny.
I watched this movie in theatre and I loved every bit of this movie but really broke my heart realising there were only 12 other people watching with us 😞
Point 1- they are not Islamophobic, it's a normal reaction of any middle-class Indian. if a Muslim family came across a Hindu relationship even they react like that. Islamophobic hate to mante ni. 2. Thakur rocks- because usually groups are named like that no relation to being superior. Plus, don't be harsh on everything try to understand the movie is capturing the essence of a typical north Indian middle-class family.
After coming out to my parents, ig making them watch this movie is a great way for them to learn, cuz whatever i say prolly sounds "western" to them :/
Wonderful, as always! Agree with everything you say barring a tiny detail, and that's not even about the movie - an alert or ready-to-attack cat does not have the tail straight up ever! The tail's up only when the cat is super happy! ( I know this review was not on cat behavior, but just thought of letting you know!)
Lovely seeing you now in your own channel, you look gorgeous in a saree , I must say I had separation anxiety pangs when you announced you were moving away from FC. Again a great review, on point on all points, making us want to see the movie! All the best , keep reviewing, we look forward to your reviews( sometimes a shade more than to the actual movie😂)
Speaking of LGBT you should check out this warm and touching series called "the other love story" a web series on youtube by justlikethat films. Such actors and film makers need recognition
Im also surprised sucharita.. i though a small town movie again by common faces in this genre....but after watching this (i just finished)ohhh my god it really a good, well made, cleaver n not boring movie
Thank you for this outstanding review. Saw the movie last night on Netflix ... I was smiling, crying and at the end I just didn't want the movie to end. It is a lgbtiq+ themed movie that India needed. ❤❤❤
Hi Sucharita! Will you also do web series/tv series reviews as well? Idk if you’ve watched it but would love to hear your thoughts on Yellowjackets. This review was lovely! Gonna go watch it over the weekend :D
You, Sucharita Tyagi = Amazement Personified Me = Subscriber since Bahuuut pehle :p But seriously, your uninhibited reactions and brutally honest reviews are what makes even your biggest critics SILENTLY, SECRETLY, CHHUP CHHUP KE, adoooore you. (Precisely y dey fail to ignore you) Humara kya h. Hum to Mam fan the, h aur rahenge :D
You reviews for Hindi movies are very correct and easy to resonate, you started reviewing other language movies ( south) which somehow doesn't connect, someone like Anakha Anupama does only Malayalam movie reviews since she understands the emotions of the movie the roots etc
I appreciate the calm energy of this review; kinda reflecting the sensitivity of the movie. Was it intentional that you presented it this way? Why I ask is because I have seen your excited energy in other reviews. Not that I'm complaining. Just curiosity of an admirer of your critical artform! 😁
Hey you look fab, came with instructions from Instagram to praise this look :p ❤️❤️ But curious to know why the one line summary in the thumbnail? Won't it encourage people to not watch the review if the summary already exists :p
Awesome reviews. Watched the movie and came back to see the review. Cast selection is perfect so is the story. Rajkumar is a chameleon and gives a nuanced portrayal. Finally bollywood movies are coming out of closet. After all LGBT are like anyone of us. Cinematography was just too good. Wish the movie got good publicity. Hope to see more such progressive movies
I do feel this movie was real good. It could have been better, but by far the best LGBT themed movie in india. I love you reviews Suchitra, You inspired me to start my channel. Ill keep getting inspired by you.
Ma'am this was not a movie review. This was a synopses of the film plot. A Film review must analyse all the aspects of a film like story, direction, sets, light, camera work, production quality etc etc. Plz study film making in theory. That will make yr job more interesting and more fruitful. Shukria.
i do not agree with the ending at all! those two are literally police and lawyer, aren't they the prime candidate to fight againt a law and change it? instead they chose to scam society live a lie just to confirm to the law!! having two parents who doesn't love each other is hard already , having a gay parent is really hard, that child has 4 parents all gay, just think about him!!! it's a reciepe for disaster.
@@nippunsharma the way you say you didnt abuse bruh you literally used the word lesbian as an insult with the intention of causing harm to the creator. Jokes to you though, didn't trigger anyone😂 what a waste of your time.
