Leprosy, or Hansen's Disease, actually isn't as bad as people used to think it is. For starters, it's not very contagious at all, the Leper *actually* getting the disease from aiding the sick in his kingdom is like 1/1000. Also, it can take 20 years for symptoms to start showing properly, the bacteria grow THAT slow. It mainly affects the eyes (hence the chance for Blind tokens since he can't see as well), skin, nerves, and nose (Why he wears the mask, his nose could have already collapsed) You lose pretty much all sense of feeling and if left untreated become blind & completely paralyzed in your hands and feet, hence why he doesn't dodge out of the way of attacks, even without armor he can't feel anything. Your limbs (Mainly toes and fingers) also don't actually fall off, they're just reabsorbed by your body, hence why it looks like you're literally falling apart. The Leper could literally die of old age, if the Eldritch monsters don't do it first. He would just need a nurse to take care of him once he's fully blind and unable to use his hands. The good news is, nowadays it's completely curable if caught early on.

@@ericlamb4501 you are considering a prognosis with modern medical treatment... the reason people thought fingers fell of was becausr of reabsorption yes but ALSO because lack of feel made them easilly hurt themselves with open wounds what lead to recurring infections, and THOSE would degrade overall health FAST.

@@ericlamb4501 Historically, leprosy used to just refer to being spiritually unclean (not right with God). The disease we think of as leprosy today is not what many early texts, most famously in Western countries in the Bible, refer to. Though leprosy was around then, it was mostly centered in the Middle East, Africa, and India. Obviously, the kind of leprosy the Leper has in Darkest Dungeon is our modern understanding of it. While it might not be as big a deal today, the conditions of the Darkest Dungeon universe don't seem to lend itself well to good health. There doesn't seem to be a lot of personal hygiene as rotting flesh and the dead are everywhere and disease is running rampant. Additionally, the Leper is constantly in combat and getting wounded. He would probably die of some other infection before the leprosy, but it certainly would be about the worst possible conditions for keeping the leprosy manageable. Ultimately, you kind of just have to suspend disbelief since it is a highly fictitious video game that takes elements from the Dark and Middle Ages. I've rambled long enough, haha.

Can't you just disable cloud sync in epic then if it isn't working? I'd think even with cloud sync the savefile should also still exist locally. Maybe look in appdata to see if it exists there still?

He isn't. Because his whole thing was that he couldn't accept death, thus in the ending he is finnaly dead

While I do disagree I can see where you got the point from I personally pick random people for my parties for variety

It's an OK trophy for the health bit, but the trade off basically means any DOT can wipe your entire squad... in the same round potentially. Ironically it makes healing more important, even if it does mean you have a bit more time before needing to heal.

@@ericlamb4501 funny thing I mostly run the shuffle teams with no healers besides some self heals and I could never complain about it, healing is % based so as long as you dont want to commit suicide staying on deathsdoor its a great trophy that allowed me to do all sort of dumb shit
