Great info, I will use your suggestions as I need several different interfacings when making my Chanel flap bag, it’s good seeing a comparison between thicknesses available for stiffeners etc. Ps. Cool shirt

Hi Nova, thanks so much for your knowledge! I’m making large cotton velvet tote-style bags and previously used heavyweight interfacing but it was too stiff and crinkly when touched! I was preferably looking for something that was natural fibre to use instead but haven’t been able to find anything… as velvet it heavy but also slouchy and drapey in the rest of the bag structure it hard to find the right thing. Is there anything you would suggest? Thanks x

Foam. If you're looking for sturdier but soft to the touch, I would use sew in for from byannie
