You really are in the wet bit of Scotland. Saturday was lovely up here in the north east as the last 7 days have been. Beinn Sgulaird was my last Munro on a very wet day. Far too casual I set off down the North then NW ridge from Meall Garbh, thus getting a whole load wetter still. Just to show how it is possiblr to be too casual I did exactly the same thing on my next visit, also in the clouds. Your route is a great one for a beautiful day, but rushing to beat the weather it is much quicker and less overall effort going straight up from the road end at Elleric.
Sounds like Sgulaird is often wet, as others I have spoken to, also had similar experiences.. I think Ben Lomond is a tad easier, for my last Munro… hopefully drier as well
I did this hill with Beinn Fhionnlaidh though had the push bike waiting at the road end and Beinn Squilard is the harder walk but also the more interesting.
What an effort I exerted through brush and marshy grass last week to get up the front. After leaving F-Com carpark, I followed signs leading round back of big house, over two bridges leading to trackless wilderness overlooking the lochs. My toughest single Munro, although a fine rocky ridge with sublime views. I should have started near mouth of glen. Thanks for video.
@@baggingthemunros3354 Thanks, and pity you did not get all the views. I also commend that hill for wildlife: red deer, highland cattle and mountain goats. Small white flowers also caught my eye.
