Maybe you’ve already ordered the quadlock system, but maybe take a look at the Peak Design system. I’m a huge fan after using both

I'm a Peak Design brand fan as well, I have a couple of their camera bags... Quad Lock has an amazing track record and seems to be the most popular for the last few years, so I ordered that system. I appreciate your input though..! 👌 Thanks William!! 👍

Whatever works with the least resistance? You seem to be covering all your bases so Lady Luck seems to be in place and functioning. Lol. And more rain here. Went riding this morning. Weatherman said rain at 4P. Then changed to 5P. Liars did NOT get me wet today. Headed home at 4 and it was not raining. Got home and took my backpack in. Went back out to get my bike and presto. Light rain on my phone and it’s still raining at 6P. Stay safe and you are ready to travel👍🏽😎

I've always been a map guy. But started that 50 years ago. They show a much larger area and I change routes multiple times a day. Most of the time I use a regional map showing several states. This is handy for me but not good if more than one bike. Lots of AAA's around if I need more maps.

I love a good 'ol paper map as well while sitting at home or in a hotel room, but they don't hold a candle to modern mobile GPS maps for the most up to date routing, road conditions, trip data, etc... Plus the route can be changed with great detail in seconds. The phone or GPS mounts can be swapped from one bike to another in a minute or two. Very simple and convenient overall. 👌 Thanks John!! 👍

Been using quad lock for about 5 years. The cases do not feel as nice in the hand as a premium case for sure. But, man, does it protect it. You can buy a stick on adapter if you wanted to go with a better case, but it makes the phone bulkier. Guess we can't have it all. Keep the RK vids going😊👊

I like and use the Quad lock but not real often. I don't like having all that crap hanging off the bars so I do it the old fashioned way with a map and planned route with fuel stops and places of interest.

I only use them when traveling. Haven't used a paper map since 2000, and I have to say, I haven't missed them once. Maybe the nostalgia of using them..? Thanks Charles!! 👍

We're going 100% 2-lane, no freeways. I'll be starting on WA SR-12 (just up the road from me) and meeting up with David in Idaho somewhere. We'll be staying in West Yellowstone at some point. I've taken I-84 on so many trips (including moving to the PNW in 1978), I'm so glad I won't see it at any point this time..! Lol Thanks Tony!!

Modern mobile GPS maps have the most up to date routing, road & weather conditions, trip data, etc... Haven’t used an old fashioned paper map since August of 2020 when I used a laptop and a GPS device to move my family from Texas to Washington State, and have never looked back with any regrets. My phone is small, hardly noticeable and a lifesaver. I'm about as old school as they get, but certain technologies are not worth holding back on..! Thanks for your input saddlebag!! 👍
