I just went to the claw of the dragon this weekend from Virginia Beach. Was about 350 miles one way. I ran the back of the dragon. My 2024 RTL, was getting 35MPG.

as long as fuel gauge and the speedo is working on mine that's all that matters to me I just want to enjoy the ride.

I had the same issue a couple of times in the first year or so of ownership. I would pull over and stop, clear the mileage on both trip meters, turn the bike off, wait a couple of minutes, and turn it back on. I waited for the bike to indicate that all the programs were fully downloaded. Then, I started the ride again and everything was fine. I have not had it happen since, but I also make sure I wait for all the programs to load before starting the bike and riding. I don’t know if that’s the problem or not, but I haven’t had the problem since. You just can’t turn the bike on and ride it immediately. Two weeks ago my wife and I did a three day trip to Solvang from where we live in SoCal. Our route was the 210 Freeway to the 118 through Simi Valley to the 23 to the 101 in Thousand Oaks. There was traffic on the 210, even though it was 1030 in the morning. We hit heavy traffic on the 101 at Thousand Oaks until we reached Camarillo, then it was pretty much freeway speeds to Buellton and the turn off for Solvang. We rode a variety of speeds. Total mileage was 187 and we averaged 30.1 mpg. We road 104 miles on Wednesday and only averaged 31.1 mpg. Thursday we road home, never went below 65 mph, max at 80 mph along the coast below Carpinteria and in Simi Valley, but was able to stay in the 70-75 mph range. Averaged 34.1 mpg. I was able to use a lot of cruise control, which I always try to do depending on traffic. That’s about as good as you can get in gas mileage on the Spyder.

Like #1. "Hey, she is cute", just what I was thinking 1,8s before you said it. Indians vs Native Americans. I am not sure about Rhode Island, or New York state, lived near 2 years in Illinois and 5 and ½ years in North Carolina. I literally met 100s of people with either being full native, half native, quarter, 1/8th and so on native american, they all say I am this or that much Indian (not from the country India). I am sure most do not mind us using the word as refering to native americans. I also have friends from India from the time I lived and worked in UAE. Non of them had any problems about that americans call their natives Indians. We have also the motorcycle nowadays made by Polaris, I doubt they will change name, imagine Native American Bobber, or Native American FTR lol. Anaway, sorry about the rant, no ill intended. Hi Chris. Kevin in Council Bluffs, IA, 2020 Spyder RT Limited. I think I have an answer to your MPG Issues. I've only had the Spyder for about 3 months so correct me if I'm mistaken. I use display A for my trips, and leave B set from when I purchased it, and Total is from New. I started the engine and checked the displays. Display A (just reset) shows 0.3mpg Instantaneous and 0.3 MPG Avg . This will change as you ride. Ride slower or in a different room/gear and the display will change, as it will if you cruise at different speeds . FYI, the lower display is showing 1 mph Max and 0 mph Average. Once you start riding the Average will correct to use the changing readings, as will the Max speed. So, the display is constantly adjusting as you ride, stop and reset. My B and Total displays reflect the updating info also. I hope that this helps. I really enjoy watching your rides and commentaries. Please keep them coming. I'm hoping to produce some videos myself. Can you do a videos about the equipment and equipment attachments you use. Thanks

No problem with the mpg on the trip displays on my 2021 RTL but on the total screen it says my top speed is 107. I’m quite confident that is not the case, I rarely ride the interstate and my handle in the local Spyder group is “slow N steady” which is a pretty accurate description of my riding style. Some strange software gremlins in there.

ask shawn smoaks on youtube if it's a glitch in the software. he should know being a master mechanic working spyders and motorcycles.

I have owned 4 spyders and software on can am's is trash. Expensive machines, fun to ride, but software was written by an 8 year old kid.
