Good luck being quick enough to step outside of a punch and catch it. It just ain't going to happen in a real fight.

We did a lot of this in ninjutsu. People seeing a video of us practicing couldn't understand why a guy fell down when we had hardly touched him because they were looking at the hands, not the legs.
