BAGYO KA LANG, PINOY KAMI! In English translation "We are Filipinos and you are just a typhoon!". Meaning, no one can beat or put a Filipino down not a strong typhoon nor any calamities and disasters. In Manila and in some areas in the Philippines had a constant of flooding whenever typhoon comes and the Filipinos already used to it. What they do instead of staying at home and make fuss out of it they go out and have fun in the flood. They treat the flood as a swimming pool, most Filipinos loves to swim even if some of them don't know how to swim, lol!

Filipinos are very positive. We treat problems like rain. We don't get umbrellas to avoid getting wet but we rather dance in the rain. That's life. Proud Filipina here! ❤️

I love how they are so positive and have a good sense of humor, I have Filipino friends and I can tell how positive they are no matter the situation is.

Filipino American here! I can testify that we got clown DNA in our genes. We are always tryna prank each other, make jokes, and have a good time regardless of the situation. I have laughed at family funerals because the best way to remember loved ones is to tell a funny story about them. If you ain't laughing, you ain't living. Filipino way of life.

Now a days, I've noticed that there's so many foreign nationals who love to make their reactions about Filipinos, Why? .... They might look stupid but Filipino always do things that make them happy specially when they're with their friends. They always have a positive mind whatever happens in their life, always enjoying small or big things. I think the reason why we always do the competition swimming style coz we try to mimic those professional swimmers but we do it in floods(and take note everyone loves when you do it) 😂

Its really happening in the Philippines sometimes they turn the hardship, calamities ,and disaster into positive way. The reason I admired the Filipinos most.👍😊❤😆🇵🇭

Sad news though, the water here are very dirty and also the streets so swimming in the streets isn't a good idea since you might get bacterial infections

Philippines is situated in the Pacific Ring of Fire, hence it is visited with disasters such as typhoons, low pressures which causes flashfloods. In this regard, the country is used to these disasters. It's heartwarming to see positivity in the midst of these even if the possible damages could be worst.

I am an Eikaiwa teacher and I always tell my students about this kind of stuff. I experience enjoying swimming in a flood during my childhood. I don't know why, but most of us Filipino always find happiness in any situation.

That is called "Filipino Resiliency". Unfortunately, that idea is also used as a distraction from the fact that the government is not doing enough to fix the drainage systems that should prevent such floods to appear on our streets.

Us filipinos can still remain to think positive even at hard times, like when my bestfriend tripped over a rock and fell down the river we were laughing like crazy 😀

Fun fact for the foreigners: the video at 6:18 features an underpass, not a river. It rained so hard that it flooded the whole underpass in Morayta so the cars couldn’t pass through. Also, floods in the Philippines can actually be very severe and sometimes even take countless of lives. But after the storm has passed, I can’t say that I dislike the idea of everyone coming together outside, working together and exchanging supplies or stories about the storm. No electricity so everyone’s phones are out. We’d have no choice but to go outside and mingle with the neighbors. I was a teenager during Milenyo and Ondoy, so I took advantage of the situation 😅 I still remember what happened during those storms very clearly.
