Great tips. Especially about "Not" putting the balloon directly on the braid. I've had those line twists from setting up the balloon directly on the braided line. Also on a 50lb leader material, it's good to know that a regular clinch knot will suffice. Thanks Cap'n.

We recognize that live bait fishing at the BH Bridge is a time honored practice. I have partaken myself. But I have found tarpon with 50 ft of line on them from breaking off at the piers. How many fish are landed and released vs breaking off? BH is a special spot for tarpon from all over the world. How can you feel good about showing people the secrets of hooking more tarpon that will mostly break off and succumb to the numerous large sharks that follow them? And then I hear fishermen say, "The Tarpon don't follow their traditional paths anymore." Or, " the fishing isn't what it was." Seriously, live bait fishing under the bridge is not sporting, is not sustainable, and may be causing the tarpon to go somewhere else. I think it should be banned before the Tarpon decide not to come here anymore.
