Baingan Tawa Fry Ingredients:
Introduction
How to Make Coating Mix for Baingan Tawa Fry
- 2 tbsp Roasted Gram Flour
- 1 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
- 1 tsp Dry Mango Powder
- 2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt (as per taste)
How to Make Baingan Tawa Fry
- 1 Brinjal
- 3 tbsp Mustard Oil
- Mustard Oil (for brushing)
- Coriander Leaves (for garnishing)

About Baingan Tawa Fry -
Fried eggplant is featured in dishes of many different cuisines. In India, fried eggplant is also known as brinjal phodi or vangyache kaap in the Konkani language. Made with shallow-fried eggplant slices, this recipe is typically a Konkani and Maharashtrian dish, very similar to begun bhaja from Bengali cuisine. |

Swap the Besan with Rawa(semolina), and thinner slices and it will become tons of times better, crispier, tastier...My mom's recipe and my most favourite dish!!

Sounds good, besan is high protein but suji will make it more crispy . Good thing about both besan and suji is that it will absorb the water that baingan releases . Today I made this recipe on the recommendation of my housekeeper. And i didn't add neither suji nor besan . It became too spicy for my taste buds

@@aaa_1727 I don't know the exact measurements for recipe. But in short, you soak the eggplants in some salt water for some time. Then take sooji, add salt, red chilli powder and turmeric. Then roast these on a pan with not too much oil

Tried this today and it was really good. Simple to make but does take time for cooking for more than 2 people on a single tava, so plan accordingly.

Lovely ! This is nothing but famous Bengali Begun Vajan !!! Just after taking out of pan sprinkle very very little sugar , it will add another dimension. It also goes very well with roti.

This is a 'MUST' as a side dish with 'Daal-Rice' or with Khichuri or it goes very well with Roti as breakfast. It's a staple Bengali side dish.

One can make a sandwitch with this eggplant, slice of onion tomatoes cilantro chatni or any thing U like. Make a good meal. Or Take noodles put this eggplant 2 pcs and pizza or spaghetti sauce fresh cilantro cheese on the top heat in oven or microwave oven for the cheese to melt. Top with hot red chilli pepper. Italian call it eggplant Parmigiana or Permesan U will find it on you tube. Best wishes

@@rajshrifood I've been cooking for 6-7 years . I've started cooking when I was in college . Firstly I wanted to cook food for my own for not consuming too much outside eatables, so I've tried cooking then I realized some of my friends asked me every weekend for cooking something for them & I made them & we've enjoyed a lot . I've started enjoyed cooking since then I've experiment my hands on a lot of dishes . I realized my family members also do enjoying my cooking . So , now I love to cook at least I want to try & it's my passion also . I'm following your both channel since 2018 & I made lot of your recipes until now . I do love all of your recipes .
