@@jiafeistan7657 clam is about translating the excessive heal to damage, only dedicated healer, specially battle healers (Kokomi, now Baizhou and QiQi) do reaaally make the most out of it, they heal like a lot and clam is the most efficient way of using it offensively despite being (deceivingly) defensive/supporting characters
He is kokomi/mona situation in ayaka comp, bring mona (nahida) for offensive purpose, or kokomi (baizhu) for defensive, and also baizhu enables you to bring a second sub dps. Sure, he didn't buff your main dps as much as Nahida did. But baizhu enables you to bring a second sub dps instead of kuki/zhongli and also a comfort defensive utility.
@@GenshinDPSCalc yeah no problem, i'm interested in that too since i have Nilou+KKN and gonna have Baizhu, so Kaveh is the other one i want ahaha. But since i pulled for Dehya coz i love her design i was very concerned about you would do a video about her DMG with the new other artifact set. Also, by having her i found out that every character that takes DMG inside her E will activate the Blood-thing of Dehya. Like Kuki loses 30% of her HP and activate the Blood-thing mitigation of Dehya, so the new artifact set will have 100% uptime on Dehya even without taking DMG from enemies. Works even with Hu Tao and Xiao, since they lose HP. I don't know if you knew already, but well i don't want to delete all of this ahaha
Since I got both Cyno and Nilou in 3.1 I'm in love with 3.6 since Nilou now has Kaveh, Cyno can have Baizhu and my Al-Haitham can keep Nahida so I have 3 powerful teams
While I think he will be a great unit. (Good kit, useful in niche and generic teams, good off field presence) I dont see him being a must pull or tier 0 character. He's going to be a great defensive support unit,
@@jimmyrebel9385 Yea, i think he is going to be like an Ayato, great in almost all teams that feature him, not the best option in a lot of teams like childe in national. Or like a XQ/Yelan, where both kind of do the same thing, but their elemental application, uptime on skills, etc will be diferent making you want to use them in different teams.
@@qaztim11 I think its going to be similar to the albedo zhongli combo but with Nahida, where they are the best option and fit many teams, as video said its like super dendro, lots of buffs
If I'm not mistaken, Nilou's 100 EM buff passive will be applied even with damage on shield, so his shield true intention probably doesn't have anything to do with that. It's just a different way to give us a bit of interruption resistance against single hits, most likely.
Also, bloom is dendro damage, and a dendro shield has increased dendro res, meaning less damage from cores, and thus more compatibility with bloom teams
@@EvilMain24 His shield is about as strong as a cristalize shield, but since its dendro it will be great for bloom/burgeon teams with the extra resistances. Wich i think is what his niche is meant to be, a shielder/healer for bloom teams
i feel like Baizhu will be.. even better then kokomi is. Hear me out. Kokomi heals and applies hydro pretty well (and can also buff due to her weapon and artifact choices), Baizhu on the other hand can heal, protect agaist stagger (im guessing thats the use of the shield), dendro applicate and buff all dendro reactions (and thats without a weapon or artifact buff). So if we agree that kokomi is top tier then so should baizhu be.
His dendro application is bad compared, plus i think his shield is being overrated. He doesn't seem like that great tbh, plus his animations are sub par.
@@Anika9691 True but do keep in mind that quicken is an effect that has a duration of like 7 seconds so its not like vaporize where you d need constant application. Also the shield is there for stagger resistance and off field dendro application so i wouldn t expect it to defend all that much.
i think considering the team res shread 4pc deepwood gives is important too. For example alhaithams bis is gilded but you still want someone on the team holding deepwood, baizhu would be a very good candidate and you can still easily reach full 50k hp with hp main stat and protype amber (plus he really needs the er).
Ah yes that complicates things.. let's say Baizhu with Kaveh, Nilou, and Xq/Yelan, I think we can put the deepwood on Kaveh? in case of hyperbloom, Baizhu Alhaitham Raiden Xq/Yelan, probably can put the deepwood on Raiden? so it's about 160 EM vs Bubble damage in this case.. 🤔
@@GenshinDPSCalc Won't Kaveh and Raiden both be doing a lot more damage than Baizhu in those team comps? If so, it makes more sense to put deepwoood on Baizhu because the loss in damage wouldn't be as great team wide. I'm not the number cruncher that you are, but that is the discussion I've seen. 🙂
@@fong03 I will try 2 hydro for ressonance (Candace+ yelan) Baizhu and kuki. I don't have ayato but you can replace yelan for aoe DMG instead. All of them scales from hp and ressonance increases healing for 2 of them and I can focus on a full EM kuki with gilded and that also adds dmg buff from both hydro and dendro. Baizhu with deepwood or Candace can hold it and give clam to Baizu. Candace applies hydro to a very large area during burst and when switching chars so it is the best choice as a res shred applier. You can just use ayato instead but Candace is better. I thing the hydro ressonance is more important than extra em since only eletro needs em on this hb team and kuki should get 1000 em easily without it since we have 230em from gilded effect. I hope we have Candace rerun so i can get her C6 for this build. She had the first banner 7 months ago probably she will be returning now for a reason 😊
@@GenshinDPSCalc on hb or burgeon teams the electro/pyro should have all the em since he is the reaction enabler. You can put em to others in case some cores are not activated by eletro or pyro but it is not the best scenario.
Nahida is still much better in terms of buffing and sub DPS, while Baizhu is more a healer for survivability! I think you should pull for Nahida first!
I felt so stupid reading all the comments here, they all prioritize damage, while I pull for characters base on there appearance and hair color hahahah.
I'm pulling for him simply because Yaoyao is so good and I could use another one. Also been waiting for Baizhu since meeting him in Liyue. I use Alhaitham, Mona, Fischl, Yaoyao for my main team, so Baizhu will buff both the blooms and spread on my team.

I'm looking at running Miko, Fischl (Tenacity + Elegy once I get it), Nahida, Baizhu - with Miko on-field to benefit from Fischl's A4, Nahida's buffs, and Baizhu's buffs. Meanwhile my Nilou team has Kokomi, DMC, Yaoyao for now
@@GenshinDPSCalc I do feel like for Baizhu, since his buff affects a character for a short time, seems like he'd be more suited to buff the on-fielder. Nilou teams have their ownership go all over the place in a lot of cases

If I get baizhu, I think im gonna focus on baizhu being a support/shredder w/ 4 pc Deepwood since his skill and burst will probably apply a lot on enemies to keep the 4 pc effect on.

I'm thinking of doing Wanderer + Baizhu. 1. Heals, 2. Interrupt res, 3. Reaction buff: if I get this right, applies to the active character only, and it needs to be the one triggering the reactions, meaning a driver generally won't benefit from this (RIP superbloom? Yay for Quicken?) unless it's anemo, since it doesn't leave an "anemo-state" on the opponents and can only ever be the one triggering the reaction. Anemo doesn't react with dendro, but if the wanderer swirls the other elements onto an enemy that's affected by dendro, he will trigger a reaction with dendro (although this would only work if dendro and the other elements are applied to different enemies, and you then hit the enemies with the other element with the Wanderer. Yeah, never mind, dendro swirls not existing is a pain in the B).
I was thinking Wanderer, Baizhu, Xingqiu, and Raiden. It's a great hyperbloom team because both Xingqiu and Raiden would activate with Baizhu and Wanderer's attacks, plus using Baizhu's ult a lot would charge Raiden's ult circle pretty fast. His shield and heals would help Wanderer not get interrupted too.
He seems to be great, but I'm skeptical about him being a must pull. To be honest, I don't think must pulls exist in Genshin, since you can clear everything regardeless of what unit you have.

Yes, the snake I believe comes from the Chinese Legend of the White Snake ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legend_of_the_White_Snake ) The snake spirit name was Bai Suzhen, so the character name Baizhu with a white snake represents that legend. 😁
i have some questions You didnt talk about his debdro application at all, its not at all great, why? All that damage i am seeing, is that the Bubble damage from the Clam SET? He will need ER sands or Healing bonus Circlet,? I hope u answer me....
Dendro application at C0 seems constant at 2.5s but only in a single target with splash AOE kind of damage, so yeah you still need another dendro for more application for sure. Yes the damage mostly come from the clam set, because his multiplier is so tiny it doesn't really do much especially when you're trying to max out his HP instead of Atk. HP circlet I think is better for buffing, healing circlet is only for healing, and healing is usually enough without the healing bonus circlet. ER sands probably yes! I still don't know and things may change..
Best team for Baizhu and Nilou is Al Haitham, Nilou, yelan/xing, Baizhu. Nahida normals are trash, boring, clunky. Also the first team will outclass a team with Nahida 💪
You can but you'd want to add an electro for the hyperbloom reaction. If you want to go the bloom route then you can add Kaveh, or replace Ayato with Nilou instead..

I prefer to use the Deepwood on the other dendro instead, for example on Nahida, but in case of Baizhu with Alhaitham, then it's a bit complicated, so either Alhaitham or Baizhu must use the deepwood instead.. The damage from the clam set is very consistent with full time healer like Baizhu, and his heal is 100% guaranteed unlike Kokomi where you have to position your character near her jellyfish. So the clam set damage on Baizhu is 100% consistent and the damage is AOE too around your character, so clam set is really good on Baizhu in my opinion!
When going for Nilou, Yelan, Kaveh and Baizhu team you would definitely want to have Deepwood on Baizhu as Gilded would provide that much dmg for Kaveh, however since Baizhu is a catalyst user himself you can easily run him as on field as his dendro reaction off field is really bad but that problem goes away if you have him on field. If you decide to run Baizhu on field tho then your 2nd dendro unit should be either Dendro MC or Nahida as they provide you with more dmg than off field kaveh or alheithem would
Can I use kokomi and Baizhu with clam on the same team? I'm trying Barbara, kuki, Nahida and yelan and it is very powerful even with Barbara and kuki still at level 70. Lots of healing and dmg. 3 of them scales from hp and with Baizhu all 4. Can replace Barbara with Candace C6 when I got her 4 more times.😢
Would 2pc TotM and 2pc new HP set be okay? I'm planning to use him as support together with Cyno - Alhaitham - Raiden and my HP wouldn't reach 50k if I use the clam set. Would the clam set still be 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 worth it with only 44k HP or should I just maximize his HP more for quicken buff?
It is still worth using the clam with only 44k HP than 2pc TotM and 2pc new HP, because the clam set damage is based on his heal and he heals quite a lot, remember his E heals the entire party so it is 4x multiplier with the clam set. 44k HP and 50k HP won't make much a difference for his buffing, so it's okay to have 44k HP!
I don't think he's a must-pull. But he's good for his role and I'm probably pulling for him, but I also want Nilou so I hope Nilou won't be in the same patch. My only reservation is his artifact set. I prefer a buffing one like Tenacity like my Kuki with Khaj Nisut and triple EM tenacity which means she heals, she's the hyperbloom dps, she buffs atk. But also buffs EM.
@@GenshinDPSCalc oh, I'm referring on hyperbloom with Ayato as a driver hence the need for atk buff as well as for my Keqing quicken team who benefits both on atk and EM. i'm aware that bloom doesn't prefer or even need atk. If all he does is heal, buff and apply dendro, then he's replaceable since Yaoyao could do the same specially with Constellations. I always reserve a "must-pull" label for characters with kits that only they can do or do best and when they don't have a viable replacement. Say Nahida with her insane Dendro application. Basically, I'm wondering if Beizhu could provide what most of my healers do, that is healing and buffing capability with their artifact other than their kit. like I said, just like my Bennett and Diona with Noblesse, Yaoyao with Instrructor, and Kuki with ToM. Just like how Kokomi is better used with ToM on freeze instead of clam. Or Instructor on Yaoyao instead of clam for both quicken and bloom reactions.
Clam Full HP Baizhu with R5 Sac Frags on field, and Prototype Amber off field. Will try them both out and see how the rotations feel. Thanks for this I was already farming clam set for him

Yeah you're right, if TTDS can't keep up with the energy, then the Prototype Amber should be his best F2P catalyst, and maybe need to use ER sands instead.. sorry about that!

His shield has very low durability. I wonder if it will break within 1 hit? Maybe that's why the shield respawns every 2secs. It's made just to tank 1-hit or bloom dmg every 2 secs. He's a healer priority, not a real shielder.
I read that the elemental skill healrs all "nearby" party members, so I wonder if it doesn't heal all the team members unless its coop like kokomi jellyfish, it should only heal the active character, if not is broken
Kokomi's Q also states similar wording: "When her Normal and Charged Attacks hit opponents, Kokomi will restore HP for all nearby party members" So it's safe to assume that his E will heal all characters in the party...

I expected him to be more shield/support focused than heal focused. So I'll probably end up skipping. For Dendro Healing I could just build Yaoyao who I have C6 anyway xD
@@JJKMagic "0.8% for every 1k of Baizhu's max HP up to 50k". 0.8% x 50 = 40%. Not sure if 4% is a typo, but just clarifying it's a lot more than just 4%. While he may work better for blooms, he still is not bad for spread considering it's such an effective reaction.
I'm going with Tighnari (main DPS, Aqua Simulacra, 4 WT), Nahida (sub dps, 4GD), Fischl (sub DPS), Baizhu (healer/support, 4 Deepwood). With this, my Tighnari could receive both buffs from Nahida and Baizhu.
It depends, if you use team with characters that is very reliant on Atk then Milelith could be good, but dendro team usually doesn't rely much on Atk stat, so it could be less useful.

Thank you, I'm glad you like my video! The answer to your question would be Baizhu, because you get an extra team slot for either dendro or electro character. With Zhongli, you only have 3 slots for the dendro and electro elements, with Baizhu you have 4. Plus Baizhu heals the party without wasting too many on field time unlike Yaoyao!

I was thinking to farm the deepwood memories for him instead of the clam, that clam domain efficiency is the lowest. At least i'll get Gilded dreams for my other Dendro related DPS like Kaveh. A win-win. I've farmed that clam domain before for my Geo team on my other account and heck that domain sucks. It took me a year to finally have a good set for Itto & Albedo.
it's weak but there just enough to prevent stagger and allow some damage to leak through so that it can heal it back, to activate Baizhu's A4 just spare a little bit of reading of the kit as a whole not just parts of it
yes that would be great, you can also replace Kokomi with either a sub DPS like Xingqiu/Yelan and use Nilou as the main DPS, this will bring out more DPS.

I would run HP since his passive buffs dendro reactions based on HP up to 50k. I mean if you can hit 50k HP with it or are close to it Healing bonus is better.
It depends though, for single target bosses probably better with Xq or Yelan, and single target is Nilou's bounty core weakness, so having Xq or Yelan to cover that is nice! But with so many dendro characters we have now, and more hydro later (hydro archon), you can't go wrong with Nilou's team, any team would work as long as there is 1 healer.. 😁
I don't think they can replace Nahida if you want ultimate DPS, Nahida's off field damage is scary let alone her 250 EM buff. But if you want to create 2 powerful dendro teams then you have to separate them so Baizhu, Kaveh with Nilou, and Nahida with the other..
@@GenshinDPSCalc the problem is you need to have enough hydro application so it's either nilou the driver or more hydro applicator's(XQ yelan) and since kaveh is onfield character then he must be the driver to utilize him
