Bro rather than cleaning i suggest to change air filter every 10k km it costs approx Rs.100 cleaning and squeezing it every now and then enlarges the pores of sponge filter resulting in chances of very fine dust particles entering the engine..hope it helps.
0:24 Probably when removing the cover, it is necessary to pull the left edge towards you (from the hole), then move the cover to the right so that the second gear engages from the groove. Installation in reverse order. I'm right?
Yes bro and ensure to clean plugs.. else go with iridum plugs which does not need cleaning like traditional plugs.... since all petrol will be used while firing in head... no fine wasted in engine chamber...
Mohd Shoaib no only petrol take out the complete oil and dust and not even diesel because petrol can clean better and evaporate faster than anything else...but petrol is effective...
Mohd Shoaib kerosene willl not work as it will dry that quick lile petrol and petrol cleans dirt much efficient...So hence ita recommend to use petrol...
Hemmot Brahma if we clean often that helps air to flow intake to enginer for perfect combustion air plays vital role than petrol as fuel needs sufficient air to burn...It helps for good pickup, airflow, engine pickup and excellent in acceleration in all gears..
The oil presence on the sponge serves a purpose. It traps fine dirt and prevents it from entering the carb. The official DIY video by Bajaj actually insist on wetting the sponge with engine oil and squeezing out any excess.
Freddy Abraham Hi Freddy...Well said but we cannot change every 1000kms.. I use only 50 to 70ml once in month or 45days max...Hardly i spend little petrol but the sponge quality...but this works well for me...I clean it once in 1000kms...Still i am getting 45kmpl and i do lubrice chain together even sparkplug cleaning...All 3 things together gives the best combination... Pls let me know if i have answered your queries... Pls feel free to ask or comments... Thank you for your suggestion..
No it is not advisable to drive without air filter as it will deposit the dust i carburetor and it will block and deposit dust and u will loose the performance of your bike for sure..
