Find a deciduous spaghetti squash hibernating in a pine nest on the forest floor 17 days before the first frost
Be careful cutting it upon. Keep those digits out of the way of your cutting implement and be patient...it's actually difficult
Flavor glitter...pepper pepper pepper...olive oil
Stuff it with a dumb amount of feta
Cover with a stupid amount of garlic
Add reasonably smart tomato domes
More salt and olive oil if you feel like it
Bake on 400 for an hour
Spangjangle until it's creamy
Wash it down with a fresh bowl of squash guts cereal

Never realized how smart of a vegetable squashes are. If you go through the effort of cutting it open and baking it, not only do you get the tasty insides. It even comes with a built in bowl to eat from.

Much like how one of the first electronic musical instruments was designed to sound just like the SAW, and named after the sound a user makes after successfully using one: "There I'm in!" It was later shortened to the more conventional "theramin" in early print ads.

I'm pretty sure it's the middle-English "Wango" which means "Wangjangling". Squash Access Wangjangling. However, this was taken from the French who used sub-Latin at the time, so instead of spelling SAW it spelled GUILLOTAINE, which is just a snobby way to pronounce guillotine.

On a serious note, if you salt the squash after opening it, and then let it rest face down on a towel for a half hour, you'll extract a lot of moisture. This is an optional step if you have extra time, but reducing the amount of water in the squash means you can be more liberal with fillings without making the whole thing super mushy. Spaghetti squash doesn't *have* to be mushy.

If you don't have a saw or yours was confiscated by the local authorities for... reasons. You can heat up the squash in the oven at 350 for about 10 minutes, depending on the size. Just enough to soften it up and make cutting much easier. Also oven mitts, it will be a hot squatatoe.

OK, I thought you were kidding about cutting it open being the hardest thing I'll do in the next 6 months (I certainly hope so!) & also thought that you were kidding about using a saw.... I will never question your instructions again! I used a mallet to pound my sharpest knife into the squash, which then became stuck. Managed to get it out by tapping with the mallet, but I broke the end of the squash. Cooked it up as instructed after all that, and THAT WAS A DARN GOOD SQUASH! Will try again, using a saw, as this recipe is worth a repeat! You are so awesome! Thank you!

@StatusQuonald, when this kind of squash is cooked, you can just run a fork along the length of the squash half to create the "spaghetti". It's nice just salted and peppered and baked upside down in a tray with a bit of water in it at the same temp. Not so sure about the length of time but an hour should be fine.
