I love the baker renaissance as a browns fan. However, he wanted a deal of 35-45 million dollar per year range which he’s simply not worth. So the browns decided to trade for watson as he would only be slightly more expensive than baker while expected to be much better
@@trollytrey3461 Actually he was. This season he led the team to a 5-1 record in the hardest division. Compared to baker 9-8 in the easiest division. When baker played a contender in the lions he crumbled, when watson played the ravens he thrived and led the browns to a win. Baker was that player that made you wanna stand up and start cheering for in front of your TV. I was the only one in my friend group that still believed in him, and it felt so good to see him win a playoff game, even though it was against my Eagles 😂
As a rams and an ou fan, i was so happy to watch him play with the rams. I am also so happy to see another ou qb finally succeeding, neither baker or kyler have been doing much until now
I think Baker is amazing and has a lot of potential. I just think the Browns and Panthers wasted that. Then we saw a glimpse of it in LA, and now on the Bucs I think we might start to see a different Baker, a good Baker
Baker Mayfield has been underrated for a long time. The Browns did him a bit dirty. Football is by far the most team-oriented sport out of all major sports. Sure, the QB is the player who is capable of making the most impact on the team, which is why theyre paid the way they are usually. Still, they dont play defense, so they have no way of stopping the other team from scoring. Also, you're only as good as your O-line is. Having fast, great receivers makes your job easier. Having a stud in the backfield makes your job a lot easier, especially on play action. We def have to stop giving some QB's as much sht as we do.
I hope baker can have a good rest of his career he deserves it. I don’t think he’ll ever win a Super Bowl by any means, but wherever he is I want him to just do well and be the franchise QB for a while
I just find it crazy that so many of my friends would give up on him when he was always showing flashes, even in the bad years, and he just basically matched Tom Brady’s final year, but was even better with a playoff win. All respect to Baker

Bakers comeback IDK what all that hate was anyway he really only had one bad year on a team that didn’t give anybody and he got injured one year and 2 playoff births he really good in my opinion
