Takagi is the protagonist of the manga "Osu!! Karate Bu" previously the main character was Tadashi Matsushita, a first-year member of the club, and the manga was more focused on comedy, but as the story gradually changed to a focus on battles, the main character was changed to Takagi Yoshiyuki, who is the captain of the karate club. Well, I imagine that many other people here don't know the powerful and underrated Takagi (since this series isn't very well known outside of Japan, so I think it's worth highlighting a few things about this character.) Takagi is a genius in combat, even at the beginning of the series when Takagi did not have ki control and only fought karate, he could easily copy his opponents' techniques just by looking. And although the name of the manga is "Osu!! Karate Bu" the series focuses on various martial arts and not just karate, as the series progresses and new arcs emerge with increasingly powerful enemies, Takagi begins to train with many different masters throughout the series and from that he learns new martial arts and also ki techniques (initially the first master who taught Takagi a new martial art was Kou Ryuun in the second arc of the manga called "Federation of the Dead Country" Kou Ryuun taught Tai Chi and also ki control to Takagi, and previously Kou Ryuun had taught Tai Chi and ki control to Jinrai, who is another character in the series and Takagi's former mentor at the karate club known as KFTH.) But now summarizing everything for the end of the manga (so as not to make the comment longer than it already is), at the end of the manga Takagi had mastered all the most powerful martial arts in history and also all the most powerful ki techniques that these arts possessed.
