Listened to this while skinning potatoes. 9/10, I was in a modern kitchen and not a sunlit room filled with potatoes. -1 immersion.

When ever I listening to Russian folk songs, it always reminds me when I went to visit Russia in 1995.

I have been collecting this stuff for years. Nechoporenko, Feoktistov, Rozhkov....balalaika players here in the West emulated these artists. These older recordings have a particular character to them. Look at old videos from their time. There is something about them. Maybe a sign of their times, maybe just a deeper reflection of the Russian character. I love these old Melodya recordings. Thank you for posting this. This stuff will grab your soul and bring you to tears if you let it.

Balalaika is a Yiddish Jewish Russian folk song about a boy who loves a girl

the sound is dirt, when u hear this with headphones u realize that is a sound each 2 seconds, like someone hitting a microphone, quite annoying if u listen it. Music beautiful anyway :)
