Merry Christmas George. Thanks for lovely video. When checking expansion vessel pressure, eg 1 bar up to 3 bed semi, 1.4 for anything bigger.. can this be done with the system still filled with water? So 1 / 1.4 bar of pressure in the system, and testing pressure in expansion vessel using schrader valve. Regards

Hi Mohit, Thanks for asking, the system can be full only the Combi boiler has to be drained empty to pump air. The problem is very few boilers come with a drain valve, don't know why because we all know we have to replace a water part, no manufacturer listens to installers, this should be on EVERY Combi boiler. Most use the PRV which then gets ruined another part sold. take care, George 👍🤩

Thank you George. But is there any harm checking the pressure without draining the boiler? What effect does it have on the reading?@@mrcombiBedford

Yes of course, you will destroy the valve has then to be replaced and reading will be under pressure, not what we want. George @@mohitl1697
