Ever wondered how a #multipassionate person is able to design a life that works with their need for variety and lack of commitment to one job?
Hello! My name is Genie and I consider myself a #multipotentialite. As I discover more about myself and this personality type, I wanted to see real life examples of how people manage their careers, hobbies, projects, and so on, but struggled to find the right content. So I'm creating my own! Here's a look into a week in the life of a multipotentialite, complete with balancing multiple jobs, managing my many hobbies and projects, completing a master's degree, working four days a week, and life as an American living in Seoul, South Korea.
If you'd like to use the morning journal templates that I made you can find them here: www.pinterest.co.kr/multiplic...

This is something I have struggled with my whole life. I have found some solutions, but seeing your life has been very helpful. Thank you.

There are endless solutions out there for people like us! Just gotta accept your nature first ;)

I like so much this video. I have suffered a lot (and I still suffer, many times) from wanting to learn about SO many things. In my case, the consequence of this is procrastination and in the end not choosing anything. But lately I have reflected a lot, I have gotten to know myself better, and this is changing. Excellent video, I'll watch the others in other moment. Keep it up!

Thank you!! I also want to learn SO many things there's just simply not enough time :( And I do the same - sometimes I do nothing because the sheer number of ideas in my brain are too much to handle >< Keep getting to know yourself and accept who you are and it will get better :)

I would like to see if you had any struggles to achieve this lifestyle and how you overcome them. I'd also be interested to learn if you had an internal struggle to accept you couldn't fit into the 'normal' career path or way of working.

Yes I think the hardest part about my lifestyle is the uncertainty haha. It's not super secure, I don't have a built in pension or anything like that, and every month my pay and schedule is different. And as for my many passions and hobbies, well I do get overwhelmed from time to time T.T I don't think of it so much as overcoming the struggles, but. more like I'm choosing these kinds of struggles over other ones I could have if I was working and living a more traditional (lol?) or standard way of life, if that makes sense, haha. And yes! I had always felt growing up the frustration from others when I constantly changed my mind about what I wanted to study or what career I wanted to follow. The social pressure to pick one path in life and stick with it, and then my internal dread at the thought of it, was really hard to deal with until I learned more about scanners and mulitpotentialites, etc.

That was a fluid video with no drag and not content inflation. Thank you it. I got most of your questions i think. It looks like nonsense I wrote, but to communicate better meetings, turn the pages in front of you each in how its read wrote said dialectally from culture respectively yours and theirs turn the page. Again thanks for your videos.

Hey Genie! Love your videos and from one multipassionate person to another, I encourage you to keep on going, especially with the RU-vid side! You’re really dedicated and it shows. I was wondering if you could share where you got the morning brain dump and the gratitude quadrants PDFs from?

Thanks for the video! I am currently looking for a job (4 days work job ) I totally get it. I want to do multiple things, go to sports classes, see friends, and also have time to invest in my RU-vid channel. Just working 5 days a week for 8 or more hours sounds terrible to me, and I only started realizing that I do not want that for myself. Thanks for sharing this with us! :) Btw, when do you make time for your RU-vid channel for editing and filming, etc? Hello from another small youtuber :)
@genie_hawk
@genie_hawk 2 месяца назад
Yes!! The 9-5 five days a week model is in serious need of revisiting haha I live in chaos regarding my schedule loool so it’s pretty random when I make time! But a big reason why I work later into the evening and have my mornings free is because I’m more productive in the morning, so usually that’s when I’m able to make time. But still it’s hard and that’s why I can’t make videos frequently T.T

I guess I’m a multipotentialite…but the type that can’t get started BECAUSE of having so many interests and ideas that I can’t focus on any one thing long enough to actually do anything with them. 😅

SERIOUSLY, I get that all the time! The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron is what really helped me to put things into perspective and make progress on the passions I could keep up with for long periods of time, haha. But still the struggle is no joke

Also, I have learnt that often people with higher IQs really suffer from this because they are so curious. They often get stuck trying to choose a path because they SO want to do the things they love, they can't choose because they don't want to let go of one of their passions. I'm not saying that only people with 'higher IQ's' deal with this, it's just the context in which I learnt about it.
@genie_hawk

@@ephemera... Right that makes sense! And when we look at famous polymaths this is definitely the case. I've also read that many people with ADHD have this kind of personality type, and vice versa, haha. Me, I have an average IQ and no ADHD but am definitely a scanner!
