Thank you for watching! It does have a beautiful ring…..it sings as it annihilates! It’s really nice to see functional swords in this price range that handle and perform so well. 3-4 years ago, this was extremely hard to find for less than 500$. Maybe even nonexistent.

Got one of these almost a year ago and I've absolutely loved it.

Excellent review, my friend! Some very well elaborated points and I agree with everything you have said here, and I appreciate the shout-out! Some quality holiday entertainment for sword friends. Merry Christmas! Indeed the profile of this incarnation of type XVIIIc doesn't look much look the stereotypical Alexandria Arsenal swords by having a more linear tapering. The one in Philadelphia is probably closer to this one but still not entirely the same. I compared this to my Principe in terms of handling and cutting performance by using them side-by-side. This one, due to the more pronounced profile AND distal taper (it's slightly thicker than the Albion version, which is more accurate, but ends on about the same thickness at the foible), accelerate easily, and in Angus Trim's words, would reach the terminal velocity of the sword sooner, with less effort from the user. Although having less mass at the foible comparing to the base and therefore a faster sword, it is has some significant overall mass, which is all connected to the cutting portion, and not that narrow at the point of percussion. It might be noticeably narrower than the typical type XVIIIc, but comparing to a XVIIIb, it would be on par, or even broader, and those are also considered cut-and-thrust swords that can potentially cut very well. I hope you can keep up the good work on this channel and upload some review once in a while. It would be greatly appreciated! Have a wonderful holiday season!

Thank you bro for watching and the kind words! I know it’s a little late but….HAPPY HOLIDAYS and MERRY CHRISTMAS! I want the Principe very badly. The money is not even a deterrent. It’s simply is too hard to find for sale lol. And I don’t want to wait over a year for a build. 6 months is ok. Anyway I’m super close to pulling the trigger on the Vision Tellaro! That should satisfy my obsession with the Type XVIII blade for a bit! It looks like it borders on a type XVIIIc. Any way…..hope your well, talk to ya soon! Keep up the vids Bro!

Great review! Of my collection, this is my favorite cutter. Rings like a bell! (I put a clip on KOA reviews for this sword where you can hear it chime) . If you can get one, you won't be disappointed!

The blade profile is not atypical to the xviii c type as the sword example in Philadelphia has exactly the same profile. It is indeed very appropriate to the type. While lesser known the Philadelphia example is probably the best of the lot regarding the existing Alexandrias as far as handling and combat potential.

Damn those were some nice cuts homie! You're right it cuts amazingly well. It definitely makes you feel better than you are. Funny your sword is pretty light. Mine weighs 3lbs 6oz and KOA lists it at 3lbs 9oz. Pretty large differences. Great review! Keep them coming!

Thank you so much for watching and the kind comments! Yea I was shocked at the 3lbs 2.5 oz. I even weighed it a bunch of times and checked my scale lol! I think I would have preferred a little bit more heft. I like this sword a lot, but I’m moving it on. I want to keep it but$$$$ lol. And space…..and my wife….who one day might assassinate me if more swords enter the house without some leaving !

G'day Mike, great review, one of these is on my bucket list when/if I have the money along with a lot of other swords - it's a rabbit hole :-). I take it you have seen the Adam Savage Tested vid on the original sword. Merry XMAS to you and yours.

Thank you for watching and the kind comment! Yes I saw the Adam Savage video. When they were flexing the sword I was wincing lol. So old and historic. I guess it’s a testament to its nice heat treatment! The rabbit hole is deep my friend! I know it’s late….but merry Christmas!

Really want one, but ive decided to get sone other swirds first. The Saxony rapier, the 1796, a Cutlass. Things i can use more for defense. Rhat suoee thin blade doesn't appeal to me as much as it used to, and i wonder how well it could thrust into meat, as thin as it is. But man, what a gorgeous backyard cutter!! . Great review!!

Thank you my friend!! It’s funny, while I like thin blades….i would have preferred more heft on this as well as some more stiffness. The LK Chen Saxony looks great! Like you also….i want someone to make a nice cutlass! Like an early Victorian or Napoleonic example! I would hop on that right away!!!
