I worked on the Island in the 80's. Rode my bike from my house at the Newport pier area to the ferry and took the trip every morning and night. Can someone explain to me why we have to grow up? I wish I were still that kid at the beach. Nice video. Thank you for sharing.

I used to live in the 2nd house on the right as you cross the bridge plus 1111 north day front in the mid 60’s. Christmas they always had the parade of boats that were all light up with Christmas lights that would sachet slowly by one Christmas evening. One would hope that still do that 50 years later

Hello from England. I stayed with relatives in Orange County almost 40 years ago and we visited Balboa Island. I have tremendous memories of it. Thank you for posting this lovely video, allowing me to take a trip 'down memory lane'....

This is one of my all time faverite places to visit. near the ferris Wheel are boat tours of the channel, fairly reasonable priced, and the tour will take you by homes of the rich and famous. The harbor is one of the largest pleasure boat ports in the world. Lot to see, and all kinds of shops, and food places. Best of all while it is home to the super rich, people on a budget will find plenty do do without breaking the bank.

I loved your video. I grew up going there for a couple weeks in the summer in late sixties early seventies with my family. Best memories ❤

I got engaged in Newport Bay on one of those pontoon boat rentals back in 2001 ..it was beautiful and perfect and romantic !! Lasted 3 years.. Ex wife now and that's a great thing for the both of us
