The fish was still moving when he landed on that branch. I think he's making sure the fish has stopped moving, that it's dead and won't bounce around and fall from the nest nor knock a baby out of the nest etc.
From what I have very recently learned, the food should be completely "still" before it is taken to the nest so as not to disturb the nest or eaglets. Maybe he was waiting for that.
How blessed & privileged you are to be able to observe & witness such a beautiful living story here. The camera work is AMAZING and I'm so grateful for you sharing it. Thank you!
Good job Dad!!!! That is a REALLY BIG Fish! What a Fisherman👍. So cute when the kids were looking over the nest saying Come on Dad we r hungry!!!!. Bald Eagles r So Beautiful & Majestic. Love that The Eagle is on our Flag! It's amazing how they r such good parents & work together taking care of the kids❣
@@paulstevenwildlife and I really enjoyed your narration also; I did but I was waiting for you to say "and daddy eagle steps up with his 5 iron to stroke it out of the tree after he gets his balance😁 " I'm referring to just how quite you were talking. Great job !!
Awesome video! Eagles are just starting to really take residence in Ohio and I'm so happy to see nature thriving. I witnessed eagles doing their cartwheel courtship thing a few years back. They are such amazing creatures! Happy birding folks!
You Sir made me enjoy this beautiful vid even more, explaining what’s going on. Your luv for these eagles 🦅 is just so awesome! Thank you Sir for sharing.
This is so wicked cool! The bald eagles have moved into our area in Upstate NY, and I watch 8 nests in about a 40 minute radius of our home. Such incredible birds! Love, love, love this footage, Paul!!!!
Loved watching your beautiful video👏🏽😃It was exciting watching Dad w/the fish underneath the nest anticipating that move to nest🥰Also your voice is Very soothing✨
Not sure where you are located but many states have Eaglewatch programs under their Audubon umbrella. They will assign you nests to monitor and collect data on. normally requires about 30 mins of your time, every couple of weeks during the season. it's a great way to observe and record these beautiful creatures.
I’m in California a few hours away from Big Bear. I’ve been watching the eagles on live cam there. I can watch for hours, so awesome. Have a great day😊
Thank you so much for making this video and posting it about these Eagles and that he's bringing that great big old fish it was very exciting to watch I love to see animals in birds and especially Eagles there's such a special creation from God thank you
Paul, LOVED loved your video-I really especially loved your soothing narration. I realize this was from 2013 now 3/20/2017. Our first hatch this morning in Hanover,Pa. Last year we lost both but may this year be blessed with 2 new eaglets
The original nest of 2015 came down in a storm. All eggs were lost. Never count an eagle out. They built a new nest and had 2 successful clutches in 2016, 2017 with 2 eaglets each. I hope for the best for your eagles. Thanks for watching and your comment.
Thank you for this video. This would be a great motivational video for Georgia Southern University students and the athletic department. The 🦅 Eagle struggles, but success awaits. Regards...
Drisana "Daughter Of The Sun" was the first to fly and very outgoing. Aiyanna "Eternal Blossom" is shy ans spends a lot of time close to the nest. It's so interesting to see their different personalities. Both doing very well.
You have a good voice for the narrative. Not loud not aggressive and very clear. Maybe the Birds trying to keep his balance flapping his wings. Looks like he's destroyed part of the fish just in the transportation process. Nice video
Thank you Gabrielle. You are correct in recognizing Dakotah trying to maintain his balance. More than likely the missing pieces of the fish was from Dakotah eating his breakfast prior to flying to the nest.
Yea!! He made it!! I had faith in him!! Love it!! Eagles are my favorite!! I JUST painted a cement one wish I could show it to everyone!! Came out BEAUTIFUL!!😍MARY FROM SAGINAW MICH
Looks like Dad had a pretty good meal off of that fish before he brought it home. After all, he needs to keep up his strength to keep hunting for the family!!! Excellent video and narration.
What a beautiful & clear video. I think dad was waiting for mom or maybe he saw something around and waited for it to be safe? Anyway what a very sweet video when mom flew in and dad finally left so she could do her domestic duty as he kept watch. :) And yes Paul what a beautiful and soothing voice you have, I enjoyed watching the video while you narrated. Thank you for sharing
