Good list. It always kills me when I see Dimebag on these kind of lists because I keep trying and trying to see what everyone else is seeing, but he just doesn't stand out to me. Maybe it is the GROOVE that you are talking about and has been copied by numerous players. I mainly wanted to make a comment about Billy Corgan again. When I saw him solo, he actually was such an ass that I almost walked out of the show. It was just him with an acoustic and piano, but he wanted complete silence. I love his music, but you don't get a guy kicked out for cheering because you like a song. He taunted the audience the whole time for liking his songs. Weird. I still like him though and was wondering if you ever heard him play on the Tony Iommi solo album. The song is Black Oblivion and probably the best song on the album.
If you can’t see what’s great about Dimebag metal might not be for you. About Billy, he doesn’t do himself any doctors and hasn’t written a great tune in 20 years. But his best work stands up. I think I gotta check out that Iommi album thanks
He makes it look easy. In fairness he’s the best technical player on the list but his catalogue doesn’t have the diversity of some of the others. The quality is 💯. My favourite shredder and the guy I wish I’d seen the most as well.
@@colinlamb i'm not so good in english so i don't know what you mean by convert, but i can reccomend you some songs for sure! If it had to be 1 , make it be tornado of souls, others could be: peace sells, holy wars, a tout le monde, mechanix, we'll be back, dystopia. Hope you enjoy!
